"man colds"

Are "man colds" really worse than "woman colds"?

Last week I had a bad head-and-chest cold. I thought I was going to die. I just crawled off into the bedroom and quietly prepared to meet my Maker. That is, when I wasn't cooking, washing dishes, doing the laundry, etc.

Unfortunately, the Spousal Equivalent caught it from me this week.

Now I'm sorry I didn't die last week.

According to them they are. lol Glad you feel better though.

I understand! Been there many times. You're laying there curled in a ball trying to die and he comes in and says "So, what's for dinner?"

Funnily enough, men feel worse when there is someone there to fuss over them. Left to their own devices, they don't suffer quite so much!

If men were the ones to give birth I don’t think we’d have a population problem.......

Well, sometimes we guys like a bit of TLC too. Oh, and I do the cooking at home and the only time I haven't been able to was after an operation and I was a bit sore. When I say sore, I was in absolute agony, but I struggled manfully on ;):D

IDK but they sure act like they do. I had the same thing last month and was sure one morning I was going to die. Men are usually "quieter" about illness but I've seen them really sick too. We're all human. I think we probably feel the same.

Several months ago jujube, I had all of those symptoms,
plus dizziness, freezing cold then boiling hot.

A few days later I saw my Doctor who is a woman, when
I told her that I felt that I was going to die, she started
to laugh, she told me that I had a viral, I think, infection.

She then looked up my medical history on her PC and looked
at me, she said that I had never been sick in my life other than
appendicitis, broken bones etc.

So my case of "man cold" was bad and I didn't do anything till
it was over.

Mike.

My husband is the complete opposite. He never admits when he isn't feeling well. I think he feels if he complains it means he isn't a real man. A few years ago he was having double vision. Of course he didn't say anything. I noticed he was seeming a little confused so I insisted he see a Doctor. I made the appointment and went with him. He finally admitted he was having double vision. They did tests and found that he had a stroke. I never believe him when he says he feels OK.
