I even joined the fan club and my folks bought me the Man from U.N.C.L.E. attache case, which of course contained guns, bombs, invisible ink and who knows what else.
They show it every Sunday on our oldies channel but I rarely watch it anymore.
Me too Larry. When I was a kid, I loved Illya. When grownups asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I said, "A spy!"
Of course when I learned about torture all bets were off. I can't imagine the movie being successful unless U.N.C.L.E. is fighting against ISIS or other terrorist organizations. Audiences of today could never understand how real the cold war was for us and how dangerous the times seemed because of it.
For me, when they try to make a new movie of something like The Man from UNCLE is that it never holds up to the original and the new actors are all wrong. I can't get past the fact that the faces are wrong.
