Man vs Woman and Aging

I realized something today about how different a man and a woman accept they are getting older.
When I mentioned to my Husband that his birthday is only 8 days away. I wanted to know what he would like. I couldn't believe the look on his face. He said, "Did you have to mention my birthday !"
It confirmed what I always knew. Men don't like the fact that they are getting older while most women just accept it. What are your thoughts about who accepts getting older better, Men or Women?
I'm wondering if it was the age part or the celebration part of his birthday that he didn't like. Personally, I never cared for celebrations of any kind which are just making a big deal of what is just another day.

I don’t think it’s necessarily a gender thing.
I don’t remember my husband being particularly one way or the other about aging. He seemed fine with it.
I specifically remember looking forward to turning 50 because at that time I imagined that certain kinds of men would stop treating me like a “stupid girl” when I knew full well - and sometimes better than they - what I was talking about. I imagined that age and silver hairs would give me some “street cred”.
But I learned that sexist men are sexist no matter your age.
I’ve never been ashamed or embarrassed of my age. It is what it is. My age doesn’t define me, it only informs others of how many trips I’ve made around the sun.

If you can cram a handful of coins into your forehead wrinkles and the coins stay there, start to get concerned, if the coins won't stay in, you haven't got proper wrinkles, stop worrying.
When people go past me, they shove a coin into one of my wrinkles, and expect to get a cup of coffee, and change as well. :)
