March 2020 ~ Tell us how your day is going~ Any Green Beer Stories???

Hi everybody
This morning I'm going to drop off my taxes at my CPA.I know tax day has been moved to July 15th,I rather pay on the usual date to keep something normal.
Afterwards, walk 3 blocks to Walgreens need couple items

Good Morning Folks,
Well like everyone else, this is starting to get to me... the not knowing is driving me nuts...Been in the house for the last two days, maybe that is what is doing it... Going to try and get outside today... Got some snow yesterday, snowed all day long, so what was green was white again, and this morning, everything white is now green again...

Went to the liquor store yesterday, and was amazed at how many empty shelves there was, it was like being at Walmart, and all the paper shelves been empty... A lot of the stores they are asking have you travelled, and are only letting like 4 people in at a time... I'm starting to think that is the new normal.

Not only do you have to be careful of your health, now I find there's a lot of scammers out there, so you need to watch that front too... Like why do people try to take advantage of each other when we are down and out... drives me crazy...

Anyhow, not a lot going on here, I hope YOU all have the most wonderful day ever... Please keep safe... and God Bless YOU all...

Good morning!

I made an early morning Walmart run and was very impressed with the fact that the store appeared to be about 75% stocked. I did see some holes in various aisles and many frozen convenience foods were still missing but nothing like it was last week. I was able to restock the basics like paper towels, toilet paper, bar soap, laundry pods, etc... with reasonable quantities as opposed to the enormous family size bales.

I made a second stop at the local Wegman's and the inventory was similar. Wegman's is rationing many basic items and they have closed the in-store fast-food restaurant and limited the availability of some menu items. I steered clear of that area, the deli and the bakery because I didn't want to buy anything handled by employees that I couldn't wash or wipe down when I got home.

It was a smooth and encouraging trip.

Another positive sign is that the major chain stores started sending out their grocery flyers this week.

Have a nice day and stay safe!

I have been struggling to manage my stress level , with all of the difficulties with current personal issues combined with the community and national and global ones... i'm hanging in here okay, and doing alright,
and am very glad to read all of you people's notes and updates.

Another day of nothing in particular. I don't plan on any store visits this week, and hopefully not next week either.
I'm kind of making the situation a challenge for myself to see how long I can forego needing to buy anything, and even online.
And I talk to my kids a little more often it seems.

My bichon, Bear, still gets his three walks a day, and that is our daily excitement. ... those 20-30 minute walks are a wonderful diversion to just being stuck inside ... Bear is a very sociable animal, and is a little puzzled by no one coming up to him and petting his head as usual. ... they just say Hi to him from a distance and he wags his tail at them, but even he feels something is off .. 🤨

Big kisses to you!

Went out to the summer trailer yesterday to post For Sale signs. Hope to get it sold but somehow with all the virus scare going on I just don't see it but all you can do is try.

A shame really as so much time and money was spent on it but I cannot take another summer of it as much as I enjoyed the chipmunks and birds. It's a shame that some have to spoil things for others. A pox on them

Funny how things change, it was bought when our house sold and could not find an apartment, so it was to give time to apartment hunt. Grew to like it for a time.

Now no apartment turned up so bought a small home.

Brought all my little statues and bird houses back, saw that the perennials are popping up and will go back in a week or so to take them up too.

Feeling uprooted.

I had no plans for the day,mid morning I walked over to local co-op store bought couple things
The clouds went away,it turned into a sunny day
After lunch,&nap,I walked over to my 'bflo family',Marcia&Dave's house with David Brooks column from today's NYT It was a nice visit, my 'buddy boy' Aker came racing down the stairs wagging his tail when he saw me. I figured I'd better come today because Sat&Sun rain in forecast

I went on my early walk this morning around 6:45 to get local paper, saw a squirrel, rabbit, robin
After I ck;d what was happening here as I was eating my breakfast, looked out the window it was pouring
I was tried of looking at the dust ,so I cleaned the furniture in living&bedroom with Murphy's Oil Soap
After the rain stopped briefly,my short mid morning walk went outside to the garage where our garbage bins are located. When the mail came,I walked up/down 4 flights of stairs

Good Evening Folks, been a couple of days, I don't know why... but it has, and I apologize for that... Well been driving over to the neighbourhood where my daughter and Grandson live, Lorie and I and Carl, and we grab the Grandson and go for a walk...Gumpy (me) and Aiden, well we love jumping in the puddles together and stomping the snow, and then we have to do our ritual "On your Mark, Get Set, Go" and we do that every 2 seconds... But it makes my day every time we get to go for a walk...

Haven't been doing a lot else... distancing ourselves, and being very careful when we go out... then come home, strip at the back door, run for the shower "Good thing about living in the country and NO neighbours" I remember a few years back when I was painting the pool deck I just built 14 X 18... It was a warm morning, Lorie is always worried about me near the pool cuz I can't swim... anyhow, I am out there painting, So then Lorie saw me in the pool cooling off, and next time she looked outside, there I was painting in the raw...

Well, Kids, I hope YOU all have a GREAT weekend... Keep Safe.. and God Bless YOU all...

Mike, I hope that none of your neighbors has binoculars :D

I spent a good part of the day sorting, and not by choice. I have fabric stored on a top shelf, tried to get one piece out, domino effect, it was like an avalache. So decided to decide how to re jig the storage problem, but instead stared at it while eating frozen mini choclit bars from Halloween.

Been isolating and even hiding from people it seems. I try to avoid going out right after anyone has been in the hall near my door. I've even sprayed Lysol after they leave. A nice neighbor brought me a chocolate bunny and said Happy Easter to me today. I'm going to put it in the freezer. I like very cold chocolate and sweets.

After waiting 2 weeks for a next day time slot to open it finally did with the grocery delivery people. I ordered at 4 am Friday and got my delivery at about 2 pm. Saturday. I was very happy they had most of what I ordered and made some good substitutions I am happy with. They only didn't have a bag of sweet peppers. I got a huge bag of TP. I was really surprised they had any. I also got 2 pkgs. of brown eggs. I ordered white but brown is fine with me, too. The same man has delivered to me before and he's good. I still have a few fresh veggies in the frig to put in my salads.

Took the dog out tonight for a short walk. I saw some others walking their dogs. One of them was coughing but thankfully he was all the way across the street. I cut our walk short because it looked like he might cross the street and I don't want to be near anyone especially someone coughing.

Hope to watch some more Netflix tonight. Am now watching When Calls The Heart.

Mike, I hope that none of your neighbours has binoculars :D

Hey Lee, Nobody in front of us, no one behind us... and both neighbours on either side, one is a mile away, the other 3/4 of a mile away, and heavy amounts of trees and forest on either side... So no worries there, and in the summer, we have a sign 1/2 way up laneway that says honk 3 times... (LOL)...

Well, Good Morning People...
Been up for a few hours so far, pouring rain outside... and neither one of us feels like doing anything, so thinking it's going to be a lazy relaxing day... Tomorrow the whole family is driving over to Lorie's sister's place because her daughter is turning Sweet 16 (she was planning a party) but because what is going on in today's world, the entire family is going to show up, 6 feet apart, and we are all going to sing Happy Birthday to her... So there will be about 50 of us...

But other than that, there is not a lot going on... So... I HOPE YOU all have a wonderful and Safe day... and God Bless YOU all...

Last night, local 'weather experts' kept saying today would be rain/windy all day
This morning I woke up at 5:15, I took my early walk around 5:50 to get Bflo News, light rain/no wind, came back&went back to bed, slept for 20min
After breakfast took another walk,it was cloudy&sun was warm in the mid 60's
I watched our Sun service online today, still getting use to doing this
We had a brief t storm with the winds, the sun came back out for the rest of the afternoon

I spent this morning under the kitchen sink trying to tighten the mounting bolt for a Delta Leland Faucet. I struggled with this for two hours during I could not get a grip on that bolt with any tool that I own. There were just way too many flexible water hoses in a very tight place. Finally, I gave up and searched the internet for some guidance. On the third Plumbing Guru video, the plumber mentioned a special tool to get into this tight area. Why the first two guys failed to mention this critical part of the equation is a mystery.

I found one of these special wrenches on line for $15 and after looking at it realized that it was the solution to my problem. It should be here in a few days and will save me about $180 that I would have had to spend on a plumber.

My five month old pup decided that getting under the sink with Daddy looked like great fun, especially since his right ear was totally undefended and needed a serious cleanup. I could have done without the wet tongue. I also dropped a wrench directly on my forehead during this process and now have a dark knot for my trouble.

Much cursing this morning, mostly English but also some choice Spanish profanity.

My wife, mostly understands me.

This morning I'll be talking with 20 Canopy of Neighbor members who I've been calling every week since last June ,to see how they are or need anything.I do miss being in the office with Sasha{executive director},Wendy{volunteer director} on Mon&Tues mornings. The members all appreciate the phone call
The rest of my day, after lunch&nap go for a walk weather permitting

Good morning all, how are we all keeping busy? Can't be just loafing around, this will pass and if we loaf we will all be meeting our friends and neighbors 10 lbs heavier eh?

I am planning a perennial garden bed, a lot of grunt work but will be worth it in the end. So will first have to get the "call before you dig guy" to come out and show me where I can dig and hope that where I have planned meshes with his plan.

Picked up taxes yesterday and they have an ommission and said they will call me back. Darn, that means that probably they will have to do a correction to the tax people which likely will flag you. No more H&R Block.....this happened before and it is idiotic as the return is on the simple side.
