An explanation of my interest...My favorite place in the world as a kid was my grandfather's attic. I could spend hours at a time. My grandmother had passed away a decade before, but most of her belongings were right where she had left them.
Photoplay, True Story, Colliers, all circa the early thirties to the mid forties. I was a voracious reader even then. Okay so you're maybe nine and this whole world of who is keeping company with who and who was caught possibly getting out of someone else's car...GASP! Such things could shred contracts and destroy careers.
I find it rather charming. I mean now a tape of somebody famous having sex in your face and it boosts their popularity. What a crass new culture. But for the scoop on Mary and George look at this month's Vanity Fair. VF is one of the few magazines left still worth subscribing too.
