Mass Stabbing In Australia-8 Children Stabbed To Death

I heard about this last night it's beyond words...why do these tragedies always seem to occur at Christmas?..rhetoric question really, because I realise it's the time of year especially in domestic situations when Christmas can be as horrendous for all sorts of reasons, as it can be a celebration.

Not much information being released but there is a possibility that the children were about to be removed from her care.
They have her in involuntary hospital care for psychiatric assessment.
 
Two possibilities Carolyn:

People are too busy with their own lives and issues and don't notice or don't want to add to their own load

and

people who are depressed seldom want to talk about it because the general public either minimizes their pain, says it's all in their head, tells them to 'just cheer up' or simply don't believe them because 'everybody gets depressed once in a while so "pull yourself together" is the advice. People who are depressed often smile when expected, laugh when appropriate and inside they are crumbling and living in darkness.
 
So very very sad, for all the family concerned.
