I also add an egg, horseradish sauce and the catsup on top. Love meatloaf sandwiches the next day.

Sounds good, apple. Will have to try your recipe. My husband got me started putting the ketchup on top. I knew people did, but had never tried it before he suggested it.

I also remember sharp cheese on top.

When I was a kid meatloaf was a weekly staple and a few days later we would have spaghetti with square meatballs.

My meatloaf and meatball recipe is different every time I make it.

These days I add a packet of GOYA beef powdered bouillon to the basic mixture for a little extra flavor.
