Sorry Tish, I cannot stand that spoiled entitled little pip squeak.. so I won't watch it...
..but today the actor Ian Mckellen who has been in the company of the Royals many times, said that Harry was too stupid to deal with Royal Life..... The Queen was rude & had descended into madness... Charles is ''clearly damaged''.. and Prince Philip was ''deeply unhappy''....
Goodness knows where he got all this from, but it's what he's told the media today !

The monarchy is an outdated institution that perpetuates elitism and inequality within British society.
Our royal family have been mired in a series of controversies in recent years. There was Prince Andrew’s friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and the reported rift between Prince Harry and other royals, including his brother William, that still continues to be a headache for the monarchy.

I feel we have something in common." The two of them then go on to marry others, yet cannot keep out of each other's beds.
The monarchy is supported financially by UK taxpayers via the Sovereign Grant, which covers central staffing costs and expenses for the monarch’s official households, maintenance of the royal palaces in England, and travel and royal engagements and visits.
Accounts for the Sovereign Grant, released in June, showed that this cost £102.4m. At a time when all we keep hearing about is the cost-of-living crisis and our bills rising, the thought of the monarchy costing us over £100m a year is eye-watering. The cost of the coronation of King Charles III although not been confirmed, is estimated to be around £100m.
The monarchy is a system of hereditary power at the top of the country’s political, military and religious institutions that perpetuates class divisions and inequality. The royal family is a glaring symbol of the unearned privilege and inequality that pervades the roots of British society. Hereditary public office goes against every democratic principle.

I just read that interview and I don't set much store by it. Sir Ian is just being what actors often are, full of himself. Those are only his views and he ought to not air them to newspapers.
I loved our lovely Queen, she was the best.

Oh he's definitely an Old attention seeking actor, there's no doubt.. but he is and was a friend to the RF..so I don't know why he's saying the things he's saying now.. unless he's got some kind of dementia coming on..

That is my impression. I just adore our Queen and can't imagine for a second she would have been rude to anyone. Even if she was - she was Queen!
