Men - Rate Going to Costco with Your Spouse

l like going to the local Costco. Hard to beat the $1.50 footlong hotdog with fountain drink. The rotisserie chicken is a good deal as well. I went last Friday and purchased a new pair of glasses and new lenses for my sunglasses. I am positive I saved much more than the $65 membership fee. I don't see that much that I would consider everything as "sold in bulk",

Unlike most of you I can drive my golf cart there too which is a bonus.

The Costco location nearest to where we live is a 4.5-hour drive away, if none of the high stretches have snow on them. We get to it once, sometimes twice a year. Partly because of that distance, but also because in general we like to shop closer to home and support local business. Also, we provide a lot of fruit & vegetables on our home place.

When the two of us are in Costco, I like to have a list of needed things, go as straight as possible for those, and get the task done. I do not enjoy being in Costco.

DW says she doesn't enjoy it either, but she has a different mode no mater what place we shop in together. she's slower and more placid about it. I suppose she may thereby be more thorough during her wandering and looking... you never know what could actually be good to acquire. However, I'm inclined to be considerably more sympathetic in my appraisal of her style with regards to other retail outlets. In short, Costco is a bit of an ordeal for me.šŸ˜’ On 'the scale' I'd rate it a 2, if that.

We have one very close by and it's the cheapest lunch date around!

It's the one place where our shopping instincts are totally opposite from anywhere else. Normally, she's the "shopper" and I'm get in, get your stuff and get out as quickly as possible. However, at Costco, I'm the one who wants to wander the aisles and look at everything and she just wants to get the stuff and get out.
