I was recently introduced to glass nail files and I love them. Never going back to emery boards or metal files.
Try a beauty supply storeI have a hard time getting clippers around nail and end up cutting more than nails, so found this and also use diamond nail files

Glass nail files are great.Today I’m stewing about the lack of quality in nail files. Obviously I just bought some today and they’re junk. It doesn’t seem to matter if I buy the metal ones or the emery boards, they’re all poor quality. I haven’t found a decent metal nail file in years.
The nail clippers aren’t much better.
Even though I’ve tried them, I’ve never cared for a professional manicure for several reasons so that’s not an alternative for me.
This is the brand I was going to recommend. I buy all Revlon. My choice of fingernail clippers are Gem, if you can find them. They are very sharp and don’t tear the nail off. They last for a number of years. I also use Revlon nail files or emery boards. I like trimming my nails right after a shower. It softens them.My Revlon clippers are very sharp .. of course, I had the old one's for probably a decade!
I have a manicure set made in Germany that have lasted forever.
I had some once but I have such thin nails that I didn't find they worked too good for me.I had a couple of glass nail files and never found it worked well but may give it another try.
I never went for pro manicure after two disasters. One I specifically said that nails had to be square for strength. Unfortunately, she didn't even speak English so after three fingers, I got up and left.Today I’m stewing about the lack of quality in nail files. Obviously I just bought some today and they’re junk. Yeah. You know you are in trouble when you start eyeing the old Dremel tool.I've gone to high end side cutters
