Metaphorically speaking: Do you need an upgrade or complete format? Pros / Cons

With an upgrade, I keep my memory with an upgraded system.

Formatting your hard drive will replace your memory with new data, replace running system with new and updated software. Your shell will remain the same, inside though, you will be a new system to learn & experience life over again.

Knowing for a fact, all things must end sometime, I choose to keep my memory opt for systems upgrade and live until I don't.

I finally upgraded to windows 10. I waited over 4 years to do it. We have medium speed satellite internet. It is sufficient, and fits our budget.

I bought a refurbished laptop $175 from a store where the the owner and I go all the way back to 1998 when he was a lackey and I was rebuilding used computers to give to the needy. It has windows 10, and is fun to see all the changes, new programs, and graphic improvements.

Installing a new hard drive in an old system like mine would increase performance, but eventually, this old casing will decompose and expire. If perhaps I desire immortality, I should choose a different model at birth.
