Lifelong Yankees fan here. I was pulling for the Texas Rangers to win the series, since I have always been an American League fan. I refer to the National League as the other league. Had the Phillies made the World Series, I would have rooted for them. I always root for the Phillies to win in the playoffs, except in 2009 when my Yankees played them and won. My favorite player Hideki Matsui was the MVP.
