An MMA fighter beat his girl friend senseless. Now a fugitive. Won't take responsibility.

Then when I see stories about radio and/or tv commentators being suspended for words/opinions taken out of context this is unfortunately a perfect example of their misplaced priorities. It's stories like these that need to be used to make an example of domestic abusers and/or violence against women. This is an actual example of the true nature of these people. Talking about the issue no matter the opinion helps put punks like this in their place. Talking about stories like this does more that talking about 'well I don't think he should've said that...'. In this case a picture is worth a thousand words-to remember and be used as an example. I wonder if ESPN has posted these pictures in their stories if any about this now ex mma fighter.

Right now I'm more worried about stories and criminals like this than hearing platitudes about a man who voluntarily took himself out.

Sounds like if Mack had a loaded weapon in her home for protection, this would have never happened.

She needed a weapon to fight a trained human weapon. This guy is not only an scum bag he is a stalker and probably a steroid abuser(which should not get him off either). This wasn't like he ran into on the street he went out of his way to see her. Again I cannot emphasize this enough, this situation and PHOTOs are what needs to be discussed in mainstream media. Not talking about political correctness.

I think they need to make the license to fight professionally a little harder to get and maintain. I would include previous assault charges as a disqualifier which this guy had.

I saw Dr Drew cover this last night but the msm is only giving this a mention yet when Steven Smith was suspended for comments/opinion it was a headliner. This is actual news in progress.

This is why I do not and have never considered MMA a part of true martial arts. There is no discipline training, no mental training, no control, other than what is required in the ring. There is no meditation, no code of honor except win at any cost.

I didnt even know what "MMA" until you explained it,I saw it one fight on TV and turned it off after 5 mins viewing.
1 question...why are those fighters in a cage? Is it to keep people out or the fighters in?

Excellent! The problem is many fighting sports filled with machismo frequently attract the wrong crowd.

You would hope they would try to filter out the wrong crowd but in reality other than public criminal records how deep a background check should these fighters get. Should they be forced to see a shrink as part of the application to fight?

Also note this fugitive has been caught.

They found him because apparently 'a big dude' was seen arguing with and pulling a women's hair. They also used a taser on him.
