Modern Convieniences

I could live without most modern conveniences. I've roughed it enough times camping or going to an off the grid type airbnb. Personally what I have the most trouble with is the heat, so I'd have a hard time living without an A/C, and not being able to be connected to my large family, so no phone and no phone service would be difficult for me.

I wouldn't want to live without most of them. Though I've discussed my land line phone problems here before. I am in the process of getting rid of that, and am willing to try getting along without it, as I wouldn't call it a "convenience" any more.

Well, what is considered "modern"?

Electric dishwashers, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, radios and many other conveniences have been around since the 1920's. Automobiles since the turn of the late 1800's as well as telephones. A/C since the early 1900's. Even Tv is old.

I guess I'd go with medical advances, small computers, and the Internet.

Is there a modern convenience you would not want to live without?

It’s called a Jet Pack

It connects me to the world, and makes it possible to be here

Otherwise, I’d be reading the myriad of books on this wall (about one third shown)
