I was starting to get a complex every time I walked into the kitchen at the pet-sitting job. The garbage lid would open:soap2:

You guessed it, an electronic sensor opens the lid if you set it off. Ok, after typing that, I still have that complex:( lol!

So feel free to mention any, new gadgets you've come across lately;) Oh, it shuts itself too, LOL!!

LOL, omygosh, didn't think of that, :giggle: he is smart to, can get out of his carrier (which is bigger then my apt. lol) so extra locks on it!! If he ever figures how to put his nose or paw over the garbage-can, they'll have a mess fo, sho!!:playful:

I always thought the battery operated corkscrew was a real corker!

I'm almost afraid to ask, but you know me, go boldly where many women have gone before, and failed, LOL!! Do you have any, new discoveries, gadget-wise TG?;)

[h=3]Schwinn Cycle Nav: for the next time you are told: "Take A Bike!"[/h]This handy little device is to your bike what the TomTom is to your car. Using flashing lights, the CycleNav directs you home and, if you take a wrong turn, it shouts at you. That should keep your attention.

There are lots of alzheimer's patients that go off wandering around here...so they have to go look for them in helicopters because the people watching them weren't watching. I have taken at least 4 folks to the sheriff due to losing their bearings and confusion. That gadget would be great, maybe, for such folks?

...on a bike they could lose their ball-bearings!

I think many of the new kitchen gadgets are a waste of time and money, by the time you have set them up it would be quicker to do it the old fashioned way!

I agree with some of them, like that "jar-opener". I think it's way easier to just grab a knife and knock the lid around the edges, like my mom taught me, then go looking for that rubber-grabber thingy.

Couldn`t live without mine lol! Makes opening a bottle of wine almost too easy :)

True Mrs. R, LOL! I've had the one that you have sort of "grippers" and I think you "push" the top and the screw goes down into the cork, then just pull it out. Also, they have a cool little thing that looks like a lid that cuts around the covering at the top of the bottle. But that gadget is way more complicated then the battery-operated one;):yeah:
