More sensitive to as you get older

My biggest one is snagging my skin. I peel like an onion skin if I barely snag myself against a rough object. What should be just a normal scrape peels back into a large triangle of the top layer of skin. My son's say I need clothes made of bubble wrap. My arms rarely are bare of some sort of bandage.

It used to be that whenever I noticed anything new or different about my health, like a spot that shouldn't be there, or a new ache or sensitivity in my body, I didn't give it much thought - I just applied some OTC medication, or took Ibuprofen and in a few days it would be okay.

Since getting older, I'm more prone to think it may be a sign of something major developing and I should get a dermatology or PCP appointment. I usually wait a reasonable time before doing that, but it hangs like a cloud over my head until it's resolved.

Same since I found things. A few weeks ago I noticed a large lump under my armpit that freaked me out. Turned out to be a cyst that went away with amoxicillin......I rushed to the doctor.....lol

Heat. The heat just does me in anymore.

I was okay before I had surgery in my 20's that threw me into early menopause.
I never got the hot flashes or the night sweats but my whole metabolism shifted to the hot side.
Now Im just hot. All the time. I was kinda looking forward to being one of those cold old ladies
but its probably not going to happen. 😿

I had to think a while about this one. I hate to say it but I think I am more sensitive about everything. I think it is a matter of overload and I just want to retreat. The most visible sign would be my skin. Every little thing seems to irritate or bruise it.

I'm much more likely to tear up at things now.
And I hate spiders. I get these small black spiders in the house. I found one sitting on my bed and freaked out. So, I want to swat any black spot, and do you know how many black spots there are in a house????
