Heres The actual book @Inept and how mean were the flowers company …. you could not buy a book unless you proved you had a preserving outfit
True?
I still preserve my own homegrown fruit, but my favourite method now days are ball mason jars
I mostly like the ones with metal clamps and rubber gaskets, except that the rubber eventually dries out, gets frayed and disintegrates. You can still buy them new in France, some beer is sold there in clampdown bottles too.

My preferred size is the pint jar as they call it …Since Covid we can’t buy genuine ball mason flat disk lids in Australia ( I believe the company was sold in the US quite some time ago )

I see BM lids on Amazon from time to time but they are very expensive as they are not from Australian sellers
@Inept
This one of 35 jars of our home grown peaches 🍑

I won’t ever use the shown brand again …not happy with them

Ive use few screw on lids made in Italy …and they are reasonably good

As for flowers lids ( I’ve a few jars inthe shed ) they are a terrible price …over $10 a lid

I had one of those plastic windows I put over the TV screen, and draw on it. Fun.
I don't think it erased good.
I know. After using it a few times it started to smear rather than erase. Probably it would have been better to use dish-washing liquid, but hey that was way back in the 50's and all we had was a tiny single-basin sink. And then there was the linoleum kitchen floor that was curled up on the edges because of the summer humidity and ...... oh never mind that.
