Morning malaise, my 'new normal'.

I saw a prominent neuroscientist, Andrew Huberman, interviewed recently. He mentioned that although people should be careful of skin cancer when going into the sun, it is fine to go out in the morning because the UVA rays are much lower and it helps set the body clock for the day/evening. There are also, of course, the health benefits from Vitamin D. He also mentioned that even when it is cloudy you can still get the benefits.

Reading your symptoms made me wonder if you are suffering mild depression. I haven't read through all the replies yet, so maybe you've addressed this possibility already. Whatever the cause, I hope you are feeling like yourself again soon (as soon as you wake up). 🤗
@OneEyedDiva , I've been speculating about that, trying to decide if the way I feel meets the criteria.

I read that somewhere too. When i was first diagnosed with corneal dystrophy in 1999 or so. I researched and learned a hat was advised whenever out in daylight -- not just to minimize UV rays impact on the dystrophy but that are implicated in cataract development and at higher elevations you do get more impact.

However once i was 8 yrs post corneal transplant surgery after a particularly gloomy winter i missed feeling the sun on my head. So when i went out first thing in morning to do things like clean up after grand dog, get trash loaded to take to landfill or lower car windows in summer so the inside isn't an oven when we go to use it, i wouldn't.

I go for annual checkup every fall and two yrs after i started going out hatless in early morning everything was still fine then sometime this winter i read an article, possibly quoting Huberman, definitely giving the same info about the benefits of getting morning sun.
