Movie The Irishman

Anyone have any experience with Firestick ? I do not have a "device" so..........
I do know if you have an LG TV don’t use the fire stick we did a couple of years ago, we blew out our TV, LG has there own stick.

I saw ads for it but it didn't sound like my kind of thing and when I saw length decided against it. Didn't realize it about Hoffa though and I've always been interested him. Might have to give it a try.

I don't suppose it solved the big question of what really happened to him, did it?

Spoilers, sort of, ahead:

I made it to the halfway mark, and then decided to skim to the end. I understand this movie is rated pretty high, but not in my book. It became a huge bore. The leads play the same types of characters they did, much better, as younger men. Pacino is his typical over the top, loudmouth, overacting self. He was great in Serpico and a few other flicks, but I thought less of his acting skills as he aged. De Niro does nothing new. You've seen him play this character scores of time. Pesci, ditto.

I can't recommend this movie, but because others have really liked it, I'm kind of a lone voice, in my opinion of it.

Your not alone, I agree 100%

I loved the movie. We were still visiting my daughter so the day after Christmas none of us felt like doing much of anything and the grandkids were busy playing with their Christmas gifts in there rooms so my son in law decided to watch it. He knew we wanted to see it also.

I guess we should have known the language in it was pretty bad as well as the gore. Because of this we watched it in bits and pieces. Every time the boys came downstairs my daughter turned it off. Once they were out of ear shot it went back on. The movie took us over 4 1/2 hours to watch, but I thought it was worth it and fun watching my daughter with the remote. She was quicker than the guys with the guns in the movie.

Cable - especially Comcast - deserves to be disappeared but my experience with satellite was good.

I've watched about half of the movie and will probably watch remainder tonight. I like De Niro and will watch most anything he does.

Subject matter very interesting when it was happening and ditto re-run. I prefer movies and books based on real events even if fictionalized rather than ditzy junk.

Reading the storyline it's not for me but then again I may miss a good film:unsure:
