Music of 1967 to feed the nostalgic mood

Peter, Paul and Mary were an American folk group formed in New York City in 1961 during the American folk music revival.
They held the number one spot on Billboard Magazine’s top 100 for seven weeks. They won five Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999.

Saw them in concert at the Landmark Theater in Syracuse, one month after I saw the Kingston Trio.

1967 was the year my all time favorite album came out. It's been my favorite album for 58 straight years.
Amen! I used to time my drives with Sgt. Pepper. It took nearly one full one-through to get from my college to my sister's house.

Several years later, I was timing drives with Disney movies. One full "Lilo & Stitch" from our house in Virginia to my sister's new place, in North Carolina. Sigh.

Then when the kids were a little older and I had to shuttle them to and from school and various activities, guess what we were listening to! Yup. 😇

My son used to love the weird chatter that follows "A Day in the Life." It always kind of freaks me out, so I'd usually hurry to turn it off before then.

The huge Classic Rock song playing AOR radio stations everywhere in 1967 was the long long version of The Doors, Light My Fire. That pop music listing doesn't include many top AOR songs that were only on vinyl albums, not released as singles.
