******* mutilation of two-week-old baby

Well, everyone will have their opinion on this, and I suspect very few minds will be changed, even in the face of facts, so why bother. I will say this though. Whoever says that being uncircumcised is more difficult to keep the ***** clean is just plain wrong. You just pull back the foreskin and wash. It's not rocket science (Well unless you refer to it as your rocket).

Aside from specialized studies, if you can touch the uncircumcised foreskin and feel a pleasurable sensation, common sense should tell you that if you cut that off, you are going to lose some sensitivity. It's like cutting off a woman's nipples, and then convincing her that no sensitivity will be lost.

Common sense should also tell you that a circumcised ***** is constantly exposed to more contamination from outside elements. That should be obvious. The very reason nature has it there is for protection from abrasion, and contamination. Some human (Or inhuman) practices often create more problems than they believed it would solve. IMO, this is one of them.

No not really.

That is a procedure that adult women are choosing for themselves and is not a procedure routinely done to girls from childhood. Not even routinely done by grown women, only a minority of them do so.
I didn't say it was the same thing, I said they were both culturally accepted practices. They are. That fact that adult women in 2024 choose to do it makes it all the more stupid, IMHO.

Holy cow! Then the perpetrators reason for doing it is maybe cultural plastic surgery, and should not be condemned?

I didn't say it shouldn't be condemned. I said evil is probably the wrong word - people within a culture are doing what everyone does and was done to them and see it as normal- so blaming or labelling individuals isn't fair. Individuals don't do things in a vacuum.

Well, yes - but not sure relevance to the discussion about things done to children before they can consent.

Back in the 60's and 70's, circumcision (boys) was the norm here in Canada. My baby brother was circumcised, as were my own boys who were born in the 80's and early 90's.

In the early 70's when my baby brother was born, circumcision was touted as being healthier and cleaner (less complications in the future), and from what I remember was automatic unless it was made clear by the parents that no circumcision be done.

Having done a lot of babysitting when I was growing up, baby boys who weren't circumcised required extra attention at bath-time and diaper change time to avoid infections, irritation, etc.
Same in Australia when my son was born. His father had been circumcised and we accepted the procedure as having health benefits.

Apparently it’s not that easy.

If you had ever done Forster care, and received multiple little babies/boys whose stupid parents had probably never cleaned them, and realized the agony they were in, and the bleeding infected mess; and the fact that you had to take care of the situation; causing agony for about a week or more.

Well, you’d be a real fan of circumcision, which I am.

^^ no, I would be a fan of hygiene.

although baby boy foreskins really don't need to be pulled back and cleaned anyway - just ordinary bathing, no pulling back of foreskins.

Apparently, no one has ever explained the difference to you between something being easy and neglecting to do it. It's easy to brush your teeth, and there can be consequences if you don't.
Pulling the teeth out of a child shouldn't be the remedy for stupid lazy parents who won't explain to their child that brushing them needs to be done.

Apparently you have not known a lot of parents or people; but have lived in a bubble of ignorance your entire life.

Brushing your teeth is not easy if you are homeless, if you don't own a toothbrush, if you’ve never heard of toothpaste, or if your parents have a variety of problems.

However, I do not have the time, inclination, or desire to explain this to you. Nor do I wish, at your late age, to burst your bubble of ignorance; as obviously the realities of the world have never been explained to you. So, I suggest you just keep living your pipe dream of knowing it all, while knowing nothing at all.

It’s for the best. 😊

Your insults would only be meaningful to me is I valued your opinion.
It's quite obvious you are in no position to explain anything to anybody.

Ask a nurse, and yes they do.

Well actually I am a nurse - but I never expect people to take my word for something just because of that.

I also had 2 sons who were not circumcised and had no issues from not having foreskin pulled back and cleaned as babies/ young children.

Look up any health advice

Here is the first one that came up in a google search: How to care for your child's uncircumcised *****

Many others saying same thing.
