******* mutilation is ******* mutilation regardless of sex or culture.
Thank you, Laurie.******* mutilation is ******* mutilation regardless of sex or culture.
I.Anti circumcision folks should find something else to get upset about. How about smokers tossing cigarette buds out the car's window?
No religion is without stupidity.Circumcision has been practiced by the Jewish for hundreds of years.

That really is true.No religion is without stupidity.
An estimated 200 million girls and women alive today are believed to have been subjected to FGM; but rates of FGM are increasing, a reflection of global population growth.
Many practitioners of female ******* mutilation believe that the procedure is dictated by tradition and is necessary to ensure marriage because men refuse to marry intact women. It is sometimes stated that the purpose of female ******* mutilation is to control women's sexuality, and, in some settings, intact women are considered dishonourable prostitutes. It is also widely believed that the clitoris connotes maleness and the prepuce of the ***** connotes femaleness. Those who hold these beliefs, therefore, insist that both be removed before a person is accepted as an adult. It is additionally claimed that female *******ia are ugly and dirty and must be removed to enhance beauty and cleanliness. Female ******* mutilation is perpetrated because it gives men power over women as a group. While no religion specifically requires female ******* mutilation, patriarchal religions create the cultural milieu that allows this practice to continue.
Most western countries (including Australia) have stamped this abhorrent procedure out by imposing heavy penalties for those caught responsible but it is still practiced in secrecy.
Are you saying that cultural mutilation is OK or just that it shouldn't be talked about? These things are barbaric, inhumane, and irreversible. It ought to be stopped in the name of humanity ... or in the name of God if you prefer. For goodness sake, give it a rest about the mutilations...what is your problem?![]()
Foot binding was the worst. Girls actually died from it.Are you saying that cultural mutilation is OK or just that it shouldn't be talked about? These things are barbaric, inhumane, and irreversible. It ought to be stopped in the name of humanity ... or in the name of God if you prefer.

What? We might advocate the amputation of every big toe in newborn babies just in case they develop ingrown toenails and have to suffer screaming pain every time they take a step but I was under the impression this was a serious discussion.@Verisure if you have ever seen young boys screaming in pain every time they pee, you would understand the good side of circumcision.
There is NO EXCUSS for cultural circumcision other than superstitious balderdash.@Verisure.... The parents, ignorant or neglectful or untaught, who did not know to retract the skin on the head of the babies uncircumcised ***** to get it to be properly pulled back.
Parents who did not teach their young boys to pull back that skin when they wash. The pain, the infections, and the necessity of having to free that skin at a later age which is painful; having to clean out and around, and apply medicine.
Yup. I wish all the young boys that I, as a foster mom had to ”treat” with these issues, had been circumcised. Not to mention the urinary track infections and kidney infections the poor little guys endured.
And the possible psychological issues, who knows?
Worst? Maybe. But both boys and girls die from circumcision too and the neck stretching leaves women dependant upon the very rings that have disfigured them. Without the support, their heads simply flop over. How do they wash themselves? They can't look down to do anything.Foot binding was the worst. Girls actually died from it.![]()
How do they wash themselves, the same way as anyone else, with their hands, unless they don’t have hands then someone else washes them. How do you think blind people wash themselves? I think you might have personal issues over these issuesWorst? Maybe. Absolutely ridiculous.Medical experts believe the removal of the foreksin makes it easier to keep the ***** clean because urine can't get trapped there and cause the problems Aneeda mentioned.
So you're a medical doctor are you...show me your credentials...Absolutely ridiculous.
Here in Canada, circumcision was the norm (and automatic) right up to and including the start of the 70's, at which time a movement of doctors began extending support in favour of parents not having their babies (boys) circumcised. For all the anti's, I think that what I went through at age 58 from a age-related condition versus a failure in hygiene care. will remember the pain and agony of the 2-3 week recovery from circumcision more vividly than a week old male will remember. My urologist informed me that he sees it as his best money maker. I only wish my parents had the $15 that it cost in the 40's.
Believe me when I say I give most of the credit to my wife's care (52 years now).I can't even begin to imagine the discomfort you went through.
FACT: Ethnic Swedish Christian (or atheist) boys are not circumcised unless specific surgery is necessary. So you're a medical doctor are you...show me your credentials...
So what happened that this so upsets you?FACT: Ethnic Swedish Christian (or atheist) boys are not circumcised unless specific surgery is necessary.
FACT: Approximately only 40 Jewish Swedish boys are circumcised each year which is less than 50% of all Jewish boys born in Sweden.
* I would assume that similar statistics would be found all over Europe.
QUESTION: How many Swedish boys are afflicted with some sort of ailment that circumcision at birth would have avoided? According to your hypothesis, we should all be dying like flies but you'd be wrong.
