My beloved Clyde Is Dead

My beloved pet vulture Clyde died yesterday, apparently of natural causes,
unlike Boris before him, who was crushed by a semi while having his road kill breakfast of unknown origin. I loved Clyde, but hadn't had him long enough to really get attached to him. It's for that reason that I have decided to have Clyde for
my next Thanksgiving Dinner instead of the traditional turkey. I found... Clyde beneath my cable TV antennae, unconscious, warm, but apparently dead. I put his remains in a nice plastic Hefty Bag and then into my freezer, where he will remain until Thanksgiving morning. I can think of no finer tribute to my beloved pet than to have my family and friends partake of his remains. I know that Clyde would understand

So sorry to hear about your loss, Lon.

I found you a book on Amazon "How to Cook a Vulture".....but unfortunately it was about the IRS (I'm not making this up, Lon).

I guess you're on your own then. I hear they taste like chicken. Oh, I can't come for Thanksgiving dinner. I have to wash my hair or maybe it's that my grandmother is going to die (again) or my car might not start or....

Once again......sincere condolences and bon appetit!

I think I saw a movie on the SciFi channel similar to this...... Lon, are you messing with me? I've had rattlesnake, buffalo, bear, antelope, moose, and a few other exotics, but can not fathom supping on a vulture.... you are braver than me!

A good friend of mine was invited to Thanksgiving dinner. The bird was a turkey the host had killed while hunting. It tasted terrible, but my friend ate it anyway to be polite. Come to find out the host had killed and served a turkey vulture. Apparently they are similar enough in head coloring to have fooled the host. It was his first "turkey" kill.

I've eaten large fruit bats cooked over a jungle campfire in Indonesia a time or two but considering that a buzzard feels road killed possums and raccoons are a delicacy I believe that I'd have to pass.

*rethinking*.......oh what the hell Lon, save me a drumstick. :)
