My concerns re: terrorism

I think mass shootings and acts of terror against non Muslims will continue against Americans until there is another attack on the scale of 9/11. This may finally motivate world leaders to do something about confronting radical Islam.

Or, Americans will become so sick of being targets, watching their loved ones being killed or permanently disabled, they will arm and defend themselves which could turn our country into something resembling a war zone.

Either way it's a grim prospect.
 

Yes, some just won't accept that there is real threat to our lives and our civilization by radical Islam...

Of course there is a threat, but your biggest threat is those around you who inevitably get called nice guys after they commit a mass murder.

Some Muslims might even figure since they are always being accused of being terrorists, always having a finger pointed at them, always being feared and hated, they might as well live up to your expectations. Islamophobia is rampant in the US. It's really sickening, even a couple of people in my own family. Yea, all 1.5 Billion belong to ISIL or Al Qaeda. Uh huh.
 

I am not saying all of them, but what I am saying is that we must be prudent and use common sense about bringing them in...

Got some statistics comparing the number of Americans killed by middle eastern terrorists and the angry white guy next door? Who do you bet kills more?
 
I think we would like to keep our 'living here' folks to be the safest kind. Which means we must be slower and more careful of those we allow in to the US. Scanning all attempting to come in is proper, not hateful. All countries should do this for all that wish to come in. It is not just the US that is resisting open borders for all. Screening is taking time, as it should. We already have many thousands of not screened folks that have arrive by sneaking in across our southern borders. Many are criminals, drug runners, killers, hidden in the masses of innocent ones. They all need to be screened just as these newer mobs from Islamic countries fleeing the radical ones now trying to control all Islamic folks. Europe is having plenty to get control of and the US wants to avoid any more than what we have.

All have a right to speak out, not just the far left ones.

Did I say the US was safe? That was your misinterpretation of what I posted. Shame on you. The US is trying to prevent just what happened recently. It is a tough job and it needs to be done by all countries involved. We already have plenty of trouble from those that are sneaking over our unprotected borders.

The US is not stopping immigrants at all. We are being ever more ready to protect what and who we have as we screen more closely those running from their crazy masters.

Islamophobic racism. The sad reality is, Americans are far more endangered by local right wing extremist white males than Islamist terrorists. But hey, let's punish the very people who are the most targeted by DAESH, other Muslims, while ignoring

the giant elephant in the room. Let us fold facts in order to fit our prejudices. Such is the power of fear and isolationism. Have the terrorists already won?

Even the most benevolent and gentle interpretations of the Koran and Islam in general, conflict mightly with Western culture and values. The more violent and radical bodies have been successful in converting or recruiting many of the moderate Muslims to their cause.

And they were American, not tortured refugees from Syria which many here seem to think are automatically terrorists because they are Muslim.
