My explanation of God.

There are many threads in this forum about atheism, (which seems to be the new "IN THING",) so I would like to write about my personal impression of "God".
I see God as personal and impersonal. The first part of this is taken from my books. The second part are own theories.
I doubt any of my words will change anyone's opinion , but perhaps may give thought.
have I seen God? no. (not in this life)
Have I seen Angels? yes.
Have I heard God? no. ( no one has. (in this life) If they say they have, they are delusional.
Have I heard Angels? Yes. Angels are sacred, Holy messengers of God's word.
Di I fear God? no. God is not fear or anything fear can emanate from. EVER!

Personal God:
God, as you choose to call him, is a being in the seat of the highest Heaven who directs all movement of all that exists. God is a wonder to all worlds, all Heavens, all space and all existence. God is all love, all intelligence, all wisdom, all energy, all life in all spectrums.
God is a name for an indescribable being. He is absolute perfection, of all consuming love , intelligence, organization of all existence.

No other being exists equating the love, the powerfulness, the and the complexities of the one Holy God of all gods and of all beings.
God is spirit and light. God is masculine. He is light and love generated by him. He is all knowledgeable in all attributes. He is comprised of an immense intensity of feeling. This is immeasurable and beyond description.

The soul is free to move toward God or away from him; embrace him or deny him. The conception of God is a reality greater than the human mind has developed at any time. This is a supreme being of absolute, eternal nature , more concrete than any existence.
From the Angels: "Even a breathe from God lifts the soul to more depth of feeling than can be expressed. A word from God brings awe to the receiver. A touch from God envelopes the soul in more bliss than is bearable. These words are to be honored as truth. We Angels give these truths now to the souls of Earth."

Impersonal God:

These words are not from Angels, but from my own mind and may be fallible because of this. These are my theories.
The impersonal God is formless and supreme. This is without features, attributes and qualities that are in the relative , moving fields of life.
This manifests in all different forms. To create, to BE, and to expand is the natural movement of this part of God.

I personally feel Darwinism and Creationism are both erroneous. When we speak of the evolution of man, It's the SOUL, which evolves or devolves through lifetimes and experiences. The evolution of the soul is to gain spiritual qualities and become closer to the Being. Qualities include compassion, empathy, strength, wisdom, courage and most importantly, LOVE. Again, This comes down to the quality of thought sent from the mind.

The soul exists in the realm of the absolute, omnipresent cosmic existence. This is all -pervading, beyond the mind and the intellect. it might be beyond knowing and understanding. it's just "Being". it's complete fulfillment.

Manipulation of creation can be done from the everchanging, relative mind of man. As man evolves into what we now refer to as "supernatural", he will create in unlimited, ever-expanding worlds. Now, On this Earth, he can manipulate into changing existing creation.

Man can evolve into higher beings, whose natural movements are unchanging, absolute, eternal, unboundedness of pure intelligence and pure existence. As this is achieved, ,multiplicity of his being can exist in more and more places and lifetimes until pure omnipresence occurs. )The ability to be present everywhere desired, hear everything, see everything, know everything, is all space and all worlds.)

Energy in all strata consists of layers and layers of pure energy . When taken down to the finest elements, I think we will find it holds an abstract pure being, or what we perceive as an impersonal God consciousness. This is ALIVE! This exists and underlies all creation. This "God" is neither matter nor energy. This is an aliveness found in all creation in all infinity.

This "God consciousness" continually creates evolves, maintains and dissolves to recreate in perpetual forms and phenomena. This continually changes and expands in all Universes or multiverses. This is a living part of all existence. This is pure Being, This is GOD. This exists in the tiniest microbe of every thing and in all and cannot be isolated AS YET, from either matter or energy by man.

To many, the word "God" is a vague, pleasant thought or hope. maybe a refuge during times of suffering. Well, God is the eternal reality of life.

Anyway, This is only my theory and opinion and may be incorrect.
On the other hand, . . . . .

Remember, This is all IMO.

Because I have a habit of sharing useless (or let's say random) knowledge, I told my granddaughter everything I knew about Dark Matter, including that it's the largest known thing in outerspace, and we know it's there but we don't know what it is.

She said "I think it's God. And maybe not just God, but Him and all the souls of dead people."
 
Did you explain to her according to the bible God made heaven & earth. Since making heaven & earth would mean God would have to be outside what he created. Dark Matter is within what we know is in outer space, so while a nice thought realistically it wouldn't be possible since God would be outside of what he supposedly made.

God could have been an alien kid, and the earth could have been his project for the school science fair. :unsure:

All of my life, at least until 2005, I tried to be a Christian, but nothing became of my efforts. 2005, i overdosed on prescription medicine and herbal supplements. Without intention, something happened that changed my life forever. Mental illness made me a mental cripple, acute paranoia, voices and delusional thinking. I was a mess for most of my life.

March 2005, near Easter. I called my wife at work; I was incoherent office personnel could not understand me. I yanked the phone cord out of the wall and walked to my bathroom, disrobed, and pulled back the shower curtain while entering the tub at the front. I let the warm water flow down my body. Pulling aside the shower curtain at the rear, exiting from the tub.

I don't know how to explain what happened, but I gained spiritual insight into the world and all that inhabit it.

My view of God has changed in so many ways. It is safe to say God is as god is understood. to be.

That is a beautiful vision @Gaer. šŸ˜ Some of my relatives and ancestors (Catholics) have been important Christians including my beloved evangelical mother and prayer warrior sister. Despite my own leanings, I got along well with them because we both strongly believed in the same god. It is just that I as a strong science logical person am skeptical of that which I describe as magic and do not believe in Bible inerrancy or a list of religious dogmas. The following is an excerpt from my writings.
  • The above noted [seeker of truths], I am not writing here as an atheist or agnostic trying to turn humanity away from a supreme being and or religion but as someone that very much wants to believe in a god or UIE and especially their offered gift of salvation with eternal life. Thus am showing a different interpretation than the one now failing many people, giving hope to those that in this modern science and information era have lost it. Please do not digest my writings as though God is inspiring or guiding me, as that is not the case as much as I am aware of with any certainty though hope and pray he is at least in some ways as I need Him. My journey to this point has evolved with some of my ideas having been wrong in the past that have since been revised while I have an expectation there are things below, I am still wrong about. Instead, they are likely to rely on societal awareness that there is increasing secularism among credible successful people, media, peers, scientists, and society that confirms what they suspected about an invisible, hidden deity that modern science shows no certain evidence for. 60% of Millennials that grew up with religion have dropped out, 35% have an anti-religious stance, and only 20% under 30 believe church going has value in their weekly lives. Against making that decision is the understanding that we sentient human earth creatures are mortal with otherwise limited lifetimes. The one and only hope for individuals to escape the otherwise certain eternal non existence of death is by the very clear New Testament promises from Jesus of salvation into his Fatherā€™s Heavenly kingdom. Thus, many today though not active religiously and living reasonably moral lives, are in fact on the fence when directly asked, continuing to lean publicly towards the existence of God.
  • Accordingly, when confronted with moral, ethical, or sinful choices in their lives, choosing to be agnostic or atheist is now a popular choice without social consequence. Although it may not be possible to prove God or an UIE exists, I can provide argumentation that Christians churches have created much dogma from misinterpretations that God has apparently allowed without corrections. In this modern era the consequences of two centuries of such has now become a problem that God and son Jesus may be reconsidering intervening again for in some subtle way, while remaining invisible unprovable.
 
I am pretty much in agreement of your "Personal God". All powerful and all perfect. I believe God speaks to me through the Holy Spirit and also the scriptures. I do believe in angels as well. In Hebrews 13:1-2 it states: "Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." Angels are quite mysterious indeed!

Thoughtful and interesting perspective. I personally, am not a religionist. I quit "the church" at age eight. (One might say I was kicked out).
and, the Holy Bible, though a beautifully written book, has undergone several translations and "the church Council" in the 1500's changed the wordage to what was needed to instill fear of hell unless they were bound to the church covenants.
Yes, The attention of the world is now on technology rather than spirituality. God is not a God of fear. God is a God of love.
I realize these age old writings are the only connection many have to grow in the soul and make sense of the world.
I understand it's difficult to believe in something one cannot experience for oneself. I give no worth to religion. If it succeeded in bringing the soul back to the source, "the Being", it would be truly helpful. It has failed in this. It should bring the soul back to being in tune
with nature so it naturally moves in evolution. The spirit has left the religions and only the rituals and dogmas exist.
Well, This thread is not about religion. Sorry to go on and on. This thread is about God.

Forgive me if I've mistaken you for someone else but were you the one who said a couple months ago that you wanted to try PCP? If so, did you actually try it?

@Gaer Although there are many reasons why I do not believe in God in a traditional sense, I do find myself, from time to time, praying to one when I'm in a jam. I say to myself that it wouldn't hurt to have extra help. I don't do it all the time or with little things because if there is a God, I don't know how much capacity of power this God has to help all the people in the world and beyond. I fear that His help would be wasted on foolish things that I got myself into.
 
Said this before. I am an agnostic. To say that there is no God ignores the fact that the universe is vast beyond our understanding. There is no need to be judgmental about that which we do not fully comprehend, and may never. We may choose to believe or not, but to make definitive judgments about the non-existence of God seems to me to assume knowledge which we do not possess and probably never will. On the other hand, religion was at the root of the evolution of our civilization and for many is an essential reassuring experience and and a very good means of socialization. Give religion a break.
 
While I do not know how things came to be, I do not believe the ideas of a 'god' in the Christian sense. The point has been made that if 'God' existed and created the universe as we know it, then he/she/it must have existed without it. Then we ask, who created that space? Another super god? and who created them?... ad nauseam

Some say that "God always was", but that just seems like a convenient way of avoiding the issue.

As for being descendants of visitors from another world, that doesn't alter the arguments about the existence of 'God' - it only suggests that there are other civilisations in the universe.

This is astonishing in its beauty and intelligence. It does make me wonder if consciousness is local or in a virtual "cloud," as in Jung's Collective unconscious?

Even if o man hates God or believes no higher form of existence exists except himself, I think a day will come in every man's life when he will fall on his knees and beg to "whoever is out there" to help him, for we don't know everything in existence and a part of us is open to all possibilities.
IMO, of course.

I appreciate your views! The Bhagavad Gita, 6000 years old, mentions "There never was a time when God did not exist and there will never be a time when it shall cease to exist." This is worth reading.
And, My Angels speak of this "God" as creating himself.
You ask some wonderfully interesting questions! Thank you! You might want to read my book about God.
