Hello to all
I am just joining this group so I am a bit uncertain
about what to expect. I am over 80 male but still working part time as a computer industry analyst. I live in upstate NY. My hobby is the study of history.

Hi Bill and welcome.

I am a 72-year-old male. I too love history, and especially WWII. I have read more books on WWII than any other subject. My favorite historian author is Steven Ambrose, although he had a problem with plegerism, I still think many of his books are the best on some of the subjects he wrote about. Band of Brothers, Citizen Soldiers, D Day, etc. Another favorite historian writer is Newt Gingrich (although he did not write about WWII), he has written many books on the Civil War. A few of my favorites were, Gettysburg, Never Call Retreat, To Try Men's Souls...

Anyway, welcome....
