Back in Feb. 2024, I decided it was time to lose weight and get into better shape in preparation for retirement. My goal was to lose 50 lbs
I was at my heaviest 236 lbs, job was mostly sedentary.
I started first with fasting after dinner, no snacks, just water. In 3 months I lost 20 lbs. Then I went to more portion control, in stead of 3 eggs and toast for breakfast I went to 2 eggs and toast.
Stopped going back for seconds at dinner time.
Followed along with Leslie Sansone Walk Away The Pounds and have worked my self up to one of her 5 mile exercises.
By the time Sept 2024 rolled around I had dropped 48lbs. To this day I have not hit my goal of 50 lbs but just bounce up and down between 188 and 193 lbs.
I try to walk at least a minimum of 3 miles up to 6 miles 3 or 4 days a week outside when possible.
Purchased a cheap little home gym from Costco and use it sparingly. Also have a bunch of free weights that I use once in a while.
