My Neighbors Sit Under My Window To Spy

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't care. I'd wonder why my neighbor cares, but it wouldn't effect my g-kid's situation, or me, or anything at all.
@Murrmurr is right! You can't change other people's behavior.
Give it no thought! They might be behaving as third graders, but you don't have to do the same.
Getting angry or getting revenge is such a waste of time.
(The things these folks came up with ARE PRETTY FUNNY though!)

Yes,

even if someone eavesdrops / could copy pictures / so what , especially if the pictures were published publicly /where else could they get them? /
I think there's some nervous nellies members getting excited over nothing.

I put the like whats in bold text

I was talking about going further than eavesdropping: taking pictures and putting them online. That's what I thought your post was about, but I'm pretty sure you're at a different party.
ah, I see. I agree going taking pictures putting them anywhere might be dangerous for the picture taker and the one in the pictures depending on content.

Locally, on this forum, holly.... got upset apparently because someone got some of the pictures she posted somewhere else, if it wasn't herself with an alias, and they posted the non-identifiable pictures in a thread in 2012. She did not say they took the pictures, but she put the pictures in an album somewhere online available to the public herself. Then maybe , or actually, we don't know yet, someone copied the public posted pictures she put on herself, and put them for some reason in a thread on this forum.

She never noticed and said she wondered why - well, she was not a member of this forum for two more years = i.e. AFTER the pictures were posted first by her somewhere else, then on this forum by someone or herself who had access to the public pictures, so why would she notice - no one else did either, and no one would have apparently if she had not brought it up for some unknown reason so far.

I was aware they do this and generally close the windows when they are outside. And they do have a big enough yard and a deck so there is no need for them to sit in such close proximity to my house.

Another neighbor repeated something to me that she could have only heard through them. I had a conversation yesterday with my cousin about moving and she asked me about it. No one else was privy to this conversation.

When they first moved in we did talk but after awhile I found they give me the creeps and I want to be polite but distant. I never initiated conversations, and made excuses to excuse myself when trapped.

This resulted in them going to another neighbor who they know I am friendly with to ask this person why I was not talking to them. Then to add to it they confronted the handyman doing some work on our house. Both people felt as if they were put on the spot.

Don't laugh, it's not funny, but I have thought of discouraging their behavior by turning on the computer to either a porn site with moans and groans or perhaps to an evangelical Christian broadcast.

Think they might get the message?

Suggestions welcome.

I think your idea of giving them something to talk about with the sound from a porn movie has merit.

Get binoculars and sit in your window watching them. Or how about a video camera focused on them and after recording them, hang a large sheet in your front yard and get a cheap video player and let the neighborhood watch the video recording. Surely there is some way to find humor in this situation.

If that kind of behavior bothers you, do not move into retirement apartments where people with nothing better to do spy on others and gossip. I remember the clicks in high school and never enjoyed that behavior nor wanted to be around people who do.

Sure, or it can be, but then again, what about storing everything you ever typed into a computer in your lifetime, every keystroke, every day for the last five or ten or more years,
and selling any or all of it to whoever is willing to pay the price ,
or 'give' it to the government or other corporation in some sort of deal ?
I don't get the connection between selling your personal info or giving it away and eavesdropping on a neighbor w/o their permission

I wasn't referring to yourself selling or giving away information,

but the hidden collection, and actually not hidden collection, the internet powers have of everything you ever typed in a computer or a phone, and likely many or all of the things in view of a computer or phone camera or microphone - unknown collection of all of that,
then sold by the ones who have it
to governments, agencies, neighbors if they have enough money, lawyers, criminals, cabal, mob, pharmakeia, congress/senate/house/ , military, civilian law enforcement, television and radio entities - whoever hacks or pays can get all the "private" info about everyone everywhere with few exclusions.

TY..I misinterpreted..sorry.
...and you are right(y)

Just having someone sitting under my window would irritate me. I'd come out and ask if this is the only place in the whole park they can sit? If they gave some smart answer, I'd say well I don't want you here move it somewhere else. People are so clueless thinking that if you say nothing it means you don't mind and maybe someday you'll find them getting stuff out of your refrigerator and hauling it over to their place because they thought you wouldn't mind.

How true followers of Jesus reacted in the first century : Hebrews chapter ten:
"AMP
For you showed sympathy and deep concern for those who were imprisoned, and
you joyfully accepted the [unjust] seizure of your belongings and the confiscation of your property, conscious of the fact that you have a better possession and a lasting one [prepared for you in heaven]."
