My Next Life l Would do differently from my current one.

But folks have been known to do that even though in reality they can't become someone else.

Since such a wish is just imaginary, how about just restarting your life, and correcting your biggest mistakes? Maybe you could authorize a new set of parents to help you through the formative years and be better equipped for what's ahead.

I know what you mean @Olivia . I too can imagine many different choices and outcomes I could have chosen. I appreciate and sometimes envy others who have made different choices. We don't get to come back and choose. Maybe in some mystic soul type alchemy, but we have no proof. So, build on the unique qualities you have now, and let yourself become, wherever the wind blows ya. :)

Yep, some of our choices in some ways were inevitable. We designed them so we could live the best we could. Real stupid describes it seems half of my choices, and I don't believe , in the end, anyone takes it with them when we die. We might feel foolish on our now mature 20-20 hindsight trick, but at the time, I was totally into it...in our Buddhist community we call this "Your Holy story". Unique to you....We try to find a way to put together our holy story in ways that make us feel like we are living fully.

I can imagine lots of alternative realities. But the "real" reality is that if I had taken any of those courses I wouldn't have met my wife, wouldn't have had my children or grandchildren, wouldn't have made the friends I have. Maybe it would have been better, maybe it would have been worse, but I'm happy with the way things turned out.
