My niece sent me a food saver sealer

I started buying them off of EBay, and my favourite seller then expanded to selling off of Amazon and Walmart's site. I've successfully used all sizes (pint/quart/gallon) as well as the narrow and wide rolls.

So what happened to your machines? I've also been through a couple of them and replaced the seal on one (FoodSaver sells the foam seals.) I've found deals on refurbished on their site, when they've had them on the site. The 2 I bought at Goodwill should have been thrown out, not donated.

First one I had the seal went bad and it was old so I bought a new one which worked great until the sucker went out on me. Wouldn't pull the air out anymore.

Have you tried opening any of the packages yet? I have a hard time opening strip-cheese wrappers and similar packages.

Yes, I am still getting used to it. I have not eaten any of the meat I have sealed yet, using up the older stuff first.
