My pastor is a personal friend of mine

My pastor is a personal friend of mine. I want to tell him why I no longer support Christianity and the Bible as a source of worship. I want to share how I've always considered Christian doctrine to be farfetched and misleading as Christianity is based on faith and here say having no tangible argument of truth in its favor.

I like my friend but I am concern should I reveal to him my new found testimony our friendship may waver. I think the Bible says something to the effect not to have friends outside of the chosen circle?

I do not agree with my pastors methods for child recruitment, it is as if he is trying bring as many kids into the fold of church before he retires. Personally, he is behaving like a dying swan gathering all bits and pieces before he leaves the church.

Why are you friends in the first place? Close friends, or more like acquaintances?

If you do decide to talk to your friend that is a pastor the "forgive them father" line should override what you think the bible says about not to have friends outside of the chosen circle.

Or just not talk about religion with your religious friend.

Why are you friends in the first place? We've known each other for about 10 years. I attended bible college to become a corrections chaplain.
I don't agree with him as a pastor but I don't mind spending time with him even though I avoid talking about faith and religion. I trust my instincts what to do.
