My Wife's Short Family

When I first met my gal and went over to meet her parents for the first time, I walked down the Hallway entrance of their home and banged my head on the low-hanging chandeliers.

Her parents were like, "Who is this Amazon Man you've just met...he's a giant!!" (I'm 5'9 on a good day) lol! I couldn't stop laughing. The parents were both around 5'2.

I really felt like Gandalf visiting the Hobbits! :)

I think 5'8-5'9 is alright for men.

I think it's tougher being a short man rather than a short woman. Women can be petite and no one cares. But for a man it can be more difficult. I was quite a good athlete in my day and always figured if I was more around 6 feet tall I coulda been a contenda!

My girls are twins and are both about 5'6 which is great...twins are usually smaller in height.

My first husbad was ..still is... 5' 11... my current husband is 5.9....One of my brothers' is 5'9 one is just 5.6... and the third is 5.10... my youngest sister who was the runt of the litter when she was small..grew to be taller than all of us girls.. and she's 5.8... her husband was 6'.6..

I’d like to be 5’.

My feet touch the ground when I walk so I must be tall enough.

I‘m agile. Yesterday I put one foot on a 12 pack of pop on the bottom shelf, hung onto the sidewall and knocked a litre pop off the top shelf. There’re some things you learn to do.

How tall are you Jules ?

I'm short 5'1" down from 5'2" so my doctor says. What does she know?
Anyway, my husband is 5'11"
I always wished I was taller. It's awkward to hold hands and kiss if standing up. But, somehow we've managed for 45 years so I guess we adapted. My neck has stretched and his back has bowed.

I'm a short thin 5'6" male that as an adult has never been embarrassed around others at being relatively short for a Caucasian male nor tried to make myself appear taller as some do with say using tall sole shoes. I rather resent and resist dominant culture and society that prefers, favors, and promotes taller males and sizes. That noted, I do understand why that is naturally so for humans just as it is for many other Earth creatures that develop pecking orders. Socially, I'm also quick to flow away from males that are naturally pushy aggressive with other smaller males.

You folks have got it !! Worked for my wife and I although she was 5.4 during most of those years. Like most of us, at 87, she's also shrinking.

My 1st ex was over 6ft tall. She used to tell me that short guys would get weird around her. She had a rather abrasive personality, and didn't take prisoners; so, I figured that was the cause. Until she proved that just by standing next to a shorter guy, she could intimidate him to move to a different check out lane in a grocery store. I'm 6 ft, too. Others' height never bothered me. I wouldn't have figured shorter guys would get so flustered by a tall girl. But they do.
