Why some names don't show up anymore is a mystery but here are a few that come to mind. Please feel free to add to the list.
Herman
Buela
Clarence
Harriet
Maxine
Hazel

Evelyn, my grandma's name....
Ruth, my aunt's name
Judy, my other aunt's name
Albert, my dad, brother and nephew's name

Beatrice
Beulah

My mom's first and middle names were Alberta Pauline.......she didn't mind Pauline, which is what she always went by, but she hated Alberta.

My grandfather was Oscar, in recent years I have only seen this in the Latino community.
My grandmother was Cora and her daughter, my aunt was Corina.

Many odd names that young people have today strike me as goofy.

Of all the names mentioned so far Cora is the only one I really care for and would use today. Maybe because it reminds me of Coral, which is beautiful.

My parents were Elmer and Edna which I don't care for and aren't used much now days. Although my son named his daughter after my mom so I think she is the only 12 year old in the whole country named Edna.

I've always liked the name Judy. Is it really not used any more?

Here are some more to add to the list:

Clarence
Milton
Marvin
John
James
Donald
Harry
William
Daniel

It's funny when I was in school I was one of 6 girls in my class with the name Barbara. I was the only one though that was Barbara Ann. I haven't met anyone named Barbara for years now, unless they are as old as me. On the other hand my sisters name is Charlotte. She was the only one named Charlotte when she was in school, but now her name is becoming more popular.

Lillian has come screaming back into fashion, much as Jennifer and Jessica did a generation ago and Emily and Hannah did more recently. Olivia and Oliver are also very popular right now.

According to Social Security, these are 2017's US top 100 baby names for boys and girls.

Various spellings of Christine, Linda, Judy, Mary and Marie didn't crack the girls' top 100. Mark, Brian, Paul and Steven are noticeably absent among the boys' names. Guess that group will be top ten in 15 years. :D

Herbert
Albert
Elwood
Ernest
Calvin
Dinah
Alma
Gladys

My mother was Sarah (as am I), grandmothers Donna and Norah. My father was Bruce, grandfathers Peter and Miles.

Hazel has actually become very popular the past few years. Someone I know just had a baby last week and named her Hazel. It became popular a few years ago when Julia Roberts named her baby girl Hazel.

My mom`s name was Barbara, and my niece, who is 55,is named for her.
