Here in the 60's in Toronto there was a thing called a "toasted danish " which was similar to the cinnamon bun , but a bit different in terms of its shape which was oval;, not round, and it was thicker about 2 inches high, with raisans and icing on top. Sliced in half length ways, and toasted on a flat top grill, then served hot on a plate. Yummy and sticky, and filled with calories. A long ago teen age memory. JimB.
