Bought an $8.43 chunk of Old Amsterdam Aged Gouda today at Trader Joe's. Also have some sweet Barefoot, Pink Moscato next to me on the counter you've now given me a reason to nibble on later.

I will have to make do with Chardonnay and goat cheese or cheddar.

Every day is a wine and cheese day in the Lightning household. We especially like Portuguese wines, although while Mrs.L likes port, I'm more a sherry guy. Lots of excellent blue cheeses to be had here. We've just sampled one called 'Blue Murder'.

Pretty much my daily late afternoon snack. A very small bit of wine (about 1/2 glass) of anything red, or Riesling, which is the only white I really like. And a snip of cheddar or mozzarella cheese with a couple of crackers.
