Some are calling it the Glee Curse but it seems to have more to do with poor life choices and a tragic accident. I was hoping that Ms. Rivera would be found alive for her child's sake but the former cast members of Glee are taking it very hard. I always intended to watch the show because my Honorary Daughter and two of my grandchildren were so into it. Now I think it would seem weird. May she R.I.P.

This is such a shame. I don't understand why you would go swimming in a lake if you're not a strong swimmer? If she could get her child back to the boat, why not just hang on to the boat till you get your strength back? Surely there aren't rip tides in a lake. Guess we'll never know.

I was thinking the very same thing. It doesn't make sense. Also, to put a 4 year old in the deep part of the lake, although wearing protective gear, doesn't make sense to me either. A boat ride is one thing but swimming in the deep is something else.

Who knows if she may have been under the influence of something? Now that they have recovered her body, maybe an autopsy will tell the story.

If so, her last action was to hate her own kid. No, I don't think it was suicide.

Not out of the question ? Remember Susan Smith ? others ?

Like someone else said , why would she not hang on to the boat till her strength returned ?

Maybe she had a medical issue ?

I don't know ........... just sad, whatever happened.

That was my thought as well. But what mother puts her child in danger by swimming under the influence? Seriously, you take your kid out on the lake and do drugs or start drinking? It's just so strange. So strange.

Oh there most certainly can be rip tides in lakes. Water undercurrents can be dangerously fierce.

How about we at least give this woman credit that she saved her sons life. Maybe getting him into the boat took all her strength which left her too weak to save herself.

I really liked the singing on Glee. Such incredible talent.

May she Rest In Peace and have angels watching over her and her son.
