I wondered if there are any reports of NDEs from truly bad people, such as murderers in prison?

Most accounts of NDEs seem very positive and very similar - floating above the body, a tunnel, unconditional love, a very welcoming bright light and angelic beings. Meeting a loving being, often assumed to be God.

Surely the wicked dictators and serial killers of this world don't get the same welcome? Surely they can't be told they are loved no matter what?
I can't find any books to give that side of things - any information please?

Surely it depends on repentance? We can never really know of course.

I don’t know about NDEs of “evil” people. I’ve seen a few from “regular” people who did not have a pleasant NDE. I remember a couple of people recounting how they were in darkness and being tormented. It wasn’t until they cried out to God that they were removed from that situation.

Personally, I believe that heaven or hell is actually your life on earth and there is no such final destination. Many neurologists believe that near death experiences are what is happening in your own brain at the time. It’s just like some dreams can be scary and some dreams are good.

I've seen ones like that. So repentance was involved, even at that late stage.

I am definitely now thinking along those lines myself. The brain and mind are deep, mysterious and probably always going to be. I dream and during the dreams they are real to me. When I wake I realise the dreams have their roots from things I have read or watched, or people I have thought about.
So in great stress, in dying moments, I think it's logical that our minds would dream vividly. Of course people are so insulted if anyone dismisses their NDE because for them it feels so real.

Indeed it does me. Could it mean it is meaningless or not? Could well be the universal response of dreamlike experience as the brain shuts down.

The thief was guaranteed to be in heaven as soon as he drew his last breath because he recognized Jesus as Lord. He was obviously repentant. The bible is our guide. God instructs us in His word to not lean on our own understanding.
