Near miss for the flying kangaroo

I was once on a flight from Perth to Melbourne - referred to as the Redeye because you sat up overnight. It was just dawn as we were approaching Melbourne and I looked out the window and saw a gigantic storm cell that seemed to reach upwards to Heaven itself. We flew into it because we had to to land. The plane was buffeted violently and people were screaming. That was somewhat scary, to say the least.
