Hey! All
Have a table on the deck..
That has the umbrella base/pole that sticks up through the hole in the table..about 8" -10" ..
So to hide...
for holidays put Christmas tree to hide
For Spring/Summer basket with flowers.
But...too soon for that..
So..what to do..for the interim
Now..
Any suggestions..pleasešŸ˜‰

Maybe a waterproof basket of artificial flowers and some solar lights?
I still have on my roofed deck ,a container of beautiful artificial tulips. It gives me joy when Christmas is over and we get many cold and dreary days.

I became attracted to gnomes after seeing the movie: "The Full Monty" but my daughter doesn't like them because I have small ones in my flower pots all summer long.

But she gave me one for Mothers day , about a foot high, and that went onto a small table on my deck until the local flower store started to put out their sets, of pansies and inpatients. The gnome holds a lantern ,battery operated, and it is CUTE!

something like this...?

Since it's "between"...New Years &..

What I did was made silver bows..from what crackers come in
Stapled to the toe part+ 0of pantyhose...
slip it over pole.
Wa-Laa!

Take some artificial greenery and wrap it around the pole. Inter-twine some solar lights in the greenery.
Then extend the solar lights to the underside of the umbrella for ambience.

Neighbors across the street did this. Nice for the evening.
Considering it’s outside , I’d personally avoid feathery weed husks . They won’t last through a heavy rainfall.

I’d go for the fake greenery like Deb mentioned and a row of white lights that are on a timer.

I'm not sure what 'feathery weed husks' are?
I was talking about fake/artificial greenery. And, solar lights. They're good for the night time.

Sorry. I should have addressed the two separately. This idea below would only work nicely indoors. Outdoors, these would get beaten down by the wind and rain.

Your idea of fake greenery growing up the pole was a good idea. With the lights, it would look nice day or night.
