Anyone else subscribe to Netflix (or Prime, or one of the other good streaming channels?)

I've become totally hooked on Mindhunters, a Netflix series. Very intelligent show about FBI agents interviewing convicted serial killers and using what they learn from them to track down other killers. It's become a little slow moving in the second season, but is still good.

There are a lot of other very good series on those channels. I've come to like them better than regular movies.

Yeah, I've got netflix. Watched eight or so episodes of the first Mindsetters. It's pretty good, me thinks.

On Netflix we watched Stranger Things (ok I guess), Orange is the New Black. Never tried Mindhunters yet - will need to mention to hubby as he does all that.
On Prime we just finished Carnival Row - I really liked as I like Orlando Bloom.
We have Crave tv too.

Two series that I absolutely loved were Last Tango in Halifax (Prime, I think) and The Kominsky Method (Netflix). Not a moment of violence in either, and both series featured older people and the world they lived in.

Last Tango stars are Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid. Kominsky stars are Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin. Doesn't get much better than that!

I don't mind violence if it is an integral part of the story -- like a shoot-em-up when the cops get the bad guys or the like. I also like murder mysteries, so there's violence in those. But what I hate is the violence just for the sake of violence ones and the gory graphic violence or torture stuff. Do we really need to watch someone get disemboweled?

I never had much use for Hulu, so I canceled that after a few months. With the addition of the new Disney streaming channel and the upcoming Apple TV-Plus channel, Netflix will be scrambling to keep market share. I find a lot of things to watch on Prime Video, but it's hit or miss.

I just finished binge watching "Unbelievable" on Netflix.

I highly recommend it.

Sure there's a lot of crap on Netflix that you have to weed through to get to the good stuff.

But at $9 bucks a month it's well worth it IMO.

Besides, some of that crap is pretty entertaining.

Like "68 Kill." That was a fun ride! But it's not for everyone.

I am getting close to canceling my satellite through DIRECTV and just watching DVDs that we enjoy. We can get our news on the Internet when needed and we have a Wall Street Journal subscription. I am tired of paying for shows that I do not watch and many of them are just plain pitiful!

We had Netflix in the past, gave it up and got HULU. Just a few months ago, I dropped HULU and went back to Netflix. I have heard a lot about Mindhunter, so plan to watch. My niece told me about another Netflix series, The Family which she said was great. I have on my winter watch list.

I really liked "Unbelievable", too. In fact, I think I'll watch it again. And then try Mindhunters next.

"Unbelievable" was very well done, with incredible acting. I would watch Merrit Weaver in anything. I've been a fan of hers since Nurse Jackie.

I'm always on the lookout for a good new series.
