I spent a little time looking for a really great forum -- and this looks like the place. I'm from Virginia, of "baby boomer" age (although my head has no idea), just looking for a group of nice folks to chit-chat with. I look forward to getting to know you guys. Some days I'm uber chatty, some days I'm not. But aren't we all?

Anyway, I'm really glad to have found this forum and know I'm going to enjoy posting with you all.

Hi Cinnamon, welcome aboard!

Hi Cinnamon,

I like your username too, reminds me of "Cinnamon" girl, that song. Can't think of who wrote it offhand. Anyway, welcome to senior forums. I have lots of fun here, but there are serious discussions too, so something for everyone I think:) denise

Thanks, Denise. This is such a nice bunch of people. Now I've got that song in my head -- and I can't think of who did it, either. Good song, though! It's funny -- I wanted to join the forum and was thinking about user names. Nothing. Then I went to change an empty scented oil burner and got out a cinnamon-scented refill (my favorite) and thought, why not Cinnamon?:)

Thank you, Ronaldj!

Well good choice of a username;) I think if I could choose again, hmm, maybe Ginger because I use that a lot in cooking now, LOL!!

Oh cool, Neil Young did Cinnamon Girl, nuts about his music;)

Ohhh, I love him, too. I don't cook a lot, but I sure do like ginger chicken and gingerbread. My grandmother used to make gingerbread often and there's nothing like it fresh out of the oven.:tickled_pink:

Let's see, I was trying to remember how I got into Ginger. It was only recently, but a roomie of mine cooked with it a lot. I think I actually started with tea, like Ginger/Lemon or something. Well, I must be tired because I can't remember, but I keep some in the freezer to grate into my stirfry sauces, and I keep a bottle of the powder as well. Kind of a health nut so someone tells me about how an herb or seasoning helps certain things and I'm on it;) See you tomorrow maybe Cinnamon (Cinnamon is soooooooooooooo good for a lot of things as well, but you knew that;) ) My fave is Cinnamon stick Tea with honey;) denise
