Greetings everyone, I've been lurking for a week or so and have decided to join. I'm impressed by the quality of posts here and hope mine don't pull the average down too much.:D

Wow! Thanks again for the warm welcome, everyone.

@Ken...I bought enough beer for all of us but ended up drinking it myself.

@Lon...I love you mannn, you just took 20 years off my age...I'm actually 72.

Welcome Mr. Louis, to Senior Forums.. I like that number, 72 , it's still a nice senior age indeed... Enjoy your stay..

...And more thanks go out to the welcoming committee.

@Josiah - I worked for the Western Reserve Historical Society at Hale Farm and Village. At first I did third person interpretation then switched to first person interpretation playing a character in the year 1848. A very educational gig, to be sure. Lots of hard work for low pay but it was quite rewarding. These days it seems they are running the place with mostly volunteer staff...probably due to the economic shift after 911. I've also noticed that they are no longer doing the antebellum period in history but have changed to the Civil War era.

I confess I've never understood the Western Reserve/Connecticut history very well, but then I'm not a native Ohioan. By all means you should show us a picture of you in historical costume.

Hmmm, I have a few pics around here somewhere but have never scanned them. If I can dig any up I'll post 'em.

I appreciate the warm welcome I've received from everyone who posted. Hope to see you all in various threads as time marches on.
