If I am up, I'll be in bed with hot tea and reading. As the clock approaches 12am, I will listen to the fireworks, open my Bible, read a few scriptures and pray for myself and others.
I'm thinking tonight of some special SF members who are often on my mind. I don't want to name them - that wouldn't be right or fair - they will know who they are - they're in the forums - giving "likes," and maybe now and then a comment - but we don't hear from them much. This is NOT a criticism of them. I hope they know that. I just want them to know I appreciate them, and thank them for being there. Wishing them a very Happy New Year!
My wife made us a delicious dinner of king crab legs, salad, and baked potato, with cheesecake for desert! Mmm, mmmm, mmmm.
Then we watched Die Hard 2 for some mindless violence and stuff getting blown up. Nothing like ending the year with some blood and gore. This movie was especially gruesome since an airliner full of passengers crashed and burned, plus all the people who were shot. Oh, and one guy got sucked into a jet engine.
My wife went to bed, but I just had a cup of coffee, so I'm gonna make it to midnight! In the meantime, I'm working on a new song.
I woke up at 11:58 pm last night. Just in time to flick the TV channel over to see the ball drop in Times Square. This is rare for me to be awake at that time.
