This yr I started to subscribe to our local paper,Bflo News Thurs-Sun only, I don't watch the local newscasts. If I find an interesting article,I'll send it to my brother

I watch the local news until after the weather forecast, then I which to streaming..

What's odd about it? Are you saying you don't look at the obits?
It was your "mainly for the obits" line that struck me as odd. I may give a glance to obits, occasionally. Oh well. Different strokes, for different folks.......

No subscriptions to a any delivered papers, but yes to paid online subscriptions of two newspapers, a couple of magazines, and even $25 dollars annually to Wikipedia. I believe it's important to support journalism, so I do.

I had a newspaper delivered for decades. But i stopped reading it for news. The paper, the only one around here, became increasingly biased. Not to inject politics into the conversation, I am a die hard Democrat. I have never voted for a Republican, the newspaper is owned by Fox News, and were openly supportive of all Republican causes. I used it more for the puzzles and comics than news. I quit when it was cheaper getting puzzles free on line. I wonder if those openly, blatenly biased papers are what is bringing the demise of newspapers?

I get the Washington Post delivered to my door every day. I enjoy propping up the paper and reading it while I eat (no matter what the news content is). I'd miss it very much if I had to do without, even though I can read the same news online. I guess I'm just old-fashioned that way.

Also enjoy doing the crossword puzzle every day.
