Night Owls Thread

Its almost 11:00 pm here. Just listened to the latest on Harvey. We will probably get around 10 inches of rain, the weatherman says. Was going to Kroger for last minute things but one of the "grands" came by and brought me milk, water, bread and lean cuisines as she said the shelves are almost bare. Just heard Kroger has 79 trucks headed this way loaded with water to replenish shelves. Y'all keep us in your thoughts for the next few days.

Good morning Ruthanne & all - It's about 4:30 am here in the Sonoran Desert. We had a thunderstorm roll thru the valley last night, and it cooled things off, down to 79 now. Just having my first cup of coffee.

The winning Powerball ticket was apparently sold in Massachusetts, so I'm out $20. Bummer.

Hi, I'm here at 1:10 am my time. The weather has cooled and such a very nice breeze coming in the window. Putting my birds to bed soon. They need their beauty rest...lol
 
I'm here,2:19,New York time,hoping a dull book would nod me off,guess not:)
Nice cool night,not missing the stifling humidity of earlier this week.
 
Well its 1:55 am here in Houston and trying to read all I can on the weather headed this way. Its supposed to hit around Corpus but we will get a ton of rain. Sorry for Corpus but glad its not a direct hit for us. hopefully we can deal with the massive rain. Have food, water, etc. Pray we have power!!

Good morning!!! It is 220AM here..The wife and I will be headed out about 5 for a weekend getaway to Branson Mo..

I'm glad it's not a direct hit for you. I've been watching the breaking weather and it's getting bad there, isn't it?

3 a.m. here. Where is all the Night Owls?
 
1 a.m. here in Northwestern Ontario. Nice cool evening. Looking in the refrigerator for a snack. Nothing appeals to me. I think I will go out and get something. Maybe some pastry and then a cup of coffee. Listen to music. I know I won't sleep because I have already put in 5 hours before I woke up.
 
Its 12:45 am here in Houston and our rain has started again. Theres already 13 inches on one of the freeways and a reporter just called in and is stuck on the freeway in the water. Hopefully we will keep power. We had a break late yesterday afternoon and I went to the mail box and got my mail. TV weather centers are advising not to get out on roads. I will be here unless I have to be rescued!! Going to be another late sleepless night!!

Checkin' in. almost midnight here in Nor Cal. Just finished watching Mamma Mia for the umpteenth time, I love it. But I'm about ready to call it a night and do some reading for a bit. I'm in the middle of Clive Cussler's book Atlantis Found. Hope other night owls enjoy the quiet time.

@Terry, and anyone else near the bad weather, hope you are safe.
