I just over heard someone call 2 sixty year olds "an elderly couple"...
There's no denying it now... it's all in your perspective!

Yes my parents were that age too when I was a teen. When I was 15 my mum had just turned 36 ... I still thought they looked old tho'I can remember when I was about 15 how annoyed with my parents because they were so "young." My mom was only 36 and my dad was 6 years older. All my friends parents had gray hair and some wrinkles and my parents were about to have my youngest brother. It didn't seem like they were parents by looks.
yesterday hubs and I were out to lunch.. my handbag fell over and a couple of things fell out. I grabbed the lipstick and stuff which was on the table but a comb fell on the floor. Hubs went to bend to get it ( he's just turned 60)... and the waitress said... ''oh would you like me to get that I know it's difficult for old people to get down and pick things up''... I was furious!!
Depending on how well one ages also figures in.I just over heard someone call 2 sixty year olds "an elderly couple"...

Believe me she didn't get one, and she knew instantly by my reaction she wasn't going to get one...I hope she wasn't expecting a tip after that ....lol
Kudos to the server on her extending respect towards her elders.yesterday hubs and I were out to lunch.. my handbag fell over and a couple of things fell out. Had I been there I would given the girl a tip simply on the merits of the respect she extended.I hope she wasn't expecting a tip after that ....lol
I can look back at my mom and dad when they were 35 yrs old and I was 17 yrs old at the time. I can appreciate it now, how young they were at the time... 3 kids all before my mom turned 21. But having perspective now puts a whole new meaning to everything that happened as I was growing up!I remember my mother turning 35 and thinking how Old that was.....

How did they know that the couple were sixty? People age differently....some never really get old while others are old before their time. Perhaps this couple behaved like elderly people and so an onlooker assumed that they were.I just over heard someone call 2 sixty year olds "an elderly couple"...
