You leave Bretrick out of this, fore-warned.In that case use of ketchup to make an awesome home made BBQ sauce for bbq'ed chicken is still an option.
Bretick needs to expand his palate
Sweet chilli sauce goes well with hot or cold chicken.Stop being gross.
Cheesy Garlic, Barbecue, Pesto, Peanut Sauce but never Tomato Sauce
Bretrick, I think you should clarify "tomato sauce". You should have said ketchup.I am nobody and nobody has Tomato Sauce on chicken.![]()
I use bouillon cubes flavored this way in many dishes. Many cuisines use chicken and tomato sauce in various forms.
Here I would compare Bonox with our Bouillon cubes, also comes in a jar powder form, chicken, beef, turkey and pork flavors.Do you have BONOX in the USA? It is a beef concentrated paste you mix with hot water, also known as, beef tea. It's
great on cold winter days, and I add some tomato sauce (Ketchup) to give an extra boost.
I haven't had fresh meat in a long time, but when I bought Shake'n'Bake the last time there were no shaking bags in the box.. if that's the product you're referring to, do you know if they stopped including bags or perhaps they were accidentally left out of the box I bought? Here we have ketchup, tomato paste, tomato sauce, barbecue sauce and hot sauce.
All of them have tomatoes in them. Some people make chicken dishes with them.
We also have all sorts of marinara sauces with or without tomatoes in them.
I prefer creamy sauces or just oven baked crumb coated chicken breast.
I rarely eat chicken any other way.

I had to look that up, it looks yummy. That walnut sauce sounds good!Tomato sauce, ugh! You have chicken circassian Walnut Sauce, it's a Turkish meze sauce made from a rich, velvety blend of walnuts, garlic, and broth, often finished with Aleppo pepper oil. Everyone knows that!

OK, a ketchup type tomato sauce would be gross...on just about anything.OOops that should have read...."I know Aussies call ketchup tomato sauce."
I have used Shake n Bake, but I prefer to make my own.I haven't had fresh meat in a long time, but when I bought Shake'n'Bake the last time there were no shaking bags in the box.. if that's the product you're referring to, do you know if they stopped including bags or perhaps they were accidentally left out of the box I bought?
Once I started using the Better Than Bouillon product (different flavors), I never went back to cubes. Here I would compare Bonox with our Bouillon cubes, also comes in a jar powder form, chicken, beef, turkey and pork flavors.
I do not know if we have a paste or not, but you do mix it with water or broth.
Thank you @jujube.Once I started using the Better Than Bouillon product (different flavors), I never went back to cubes.
Ok, thanks for the info!I have used Shake n Bake, but I prefer to make my own.
Dip the chicken in eggs (egg whites for me), roll the chicken in breadcrumbs, use any spices you like added to the crumbs, shake in a plastic gallon food storage bag.
shake-shake-shake
bake
I try to get as much of the crumbs and spices on to make tender chicken.
I do not always eat the coating, but I love the chicken breasts.
I forgot to say...No...I have never bought Shake n Bake that had no bags in it.
A machine mistake when they were made, I guess.
Just use a plastic gallon food storage bag.
Worcestershire sauce always had an after taste to me.My brother-in-law used to pour Worcestershire sauce all over his scrambled eggs, I thought that was gross.
on ANYTHING!!!!Worcestershire sauce always had an after taste to me.
I am a fan of Soy Sauce, my children always say, "ewww Mom!"
I will admit there a some things that soy sauce does not taste well on.
