Not trying to be controversial (female boxer with XY chromosome)

When I lived in a large city many years ago I coached youth wrestling. One team I had back in the 70's was primarily 8th grade boys with a couple of 7th graders in the mix. These were kids that did not have a lot of chances to be in sports and many were from single parent homes. They were generally good wrestlers for their ages, and pretty tough overall. One team we wrestled had two girls wrestlers. I commented to the coach prior to the march, that my boys were a tough group and that they may not 'play by the rules' . He commented that the girls understood the risk, so we proceeded with the match.

I did advise my guys to keep it clean and wrestle within the rules. Unfortunately, neither one of my guys did keep it as clean as I hoped for. Although, they did keep it all within rules. End result, the two boys had fun, and their two opponents did not! I was embarrassed, but the opposing coach seemed ok with it and no parents came and tried to 'kill me'! I never was faced with that situation again, but If I did, I would have forfeited those two matches.

In boxing, I also would not let it happen, as the risk here is injury, even severe injury...

Kickboxing actually makes a lot of sense for women because if you have ever taken a dance class, your instructor might have mentioned that on women’s bodies, our center of gravity is our hips and our strongest muscles are in our legs, backs and derrières.

I heard one scientist say these muscles were probably developed on women over centuries from years of carrying children on our hips and backs. Whereas for men, they had centuries of lifting, carrying, cutting and dragging home the hunt for their work, so they developed the upper body strength to succeed at that.
I know all about dance, I've danced all my life. My school was a dance school.. and you're perfectly correct.. our power is in our lower half, which is what gives us the strength to bear children... When police teach women self defence they concentrate more on using the lower half of the body as a defence..

When my daughter was just 11 is when I sent her first to learn martial arts as a defence sport. She learned Judo first.. then BuJutsu .. and then as an older teen she took up Kickboxing

Neither Khalif or the other boxer are trans. They have XY chromosomes and testosterone levels that are like those of men, so were originally disqualified from this kind of event. If they know they have an unfair advantage *because* of that fact, then choosing something like boxing is basically deliberate cheating.
I agree.. they would no more attempt to fight another man because they know they would lose, because in essence they are weak insipid men.. but compared to a woman strength wise they have the advantage , and they are using this ridiculous rule to their full advantage

Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!

Look at this....

Transgender athletes swept the board in a 1-2-3 at a prestigious women's cycle race over the weekend, infuriating fans and leaving female competitors in the shade.

Every medalist in the elite women's Madison at Washington's Marymore Grand Prix on Friday had a trans athlete on the two–person team, marking the first time trans women are known to have had a place on every podium spot in a race.

Race venue the Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome in Redmond warns it will not tolerate 'bullying or derogatory comments especially related to race, creed, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, physical or mental disability'.

But the sight of the heavily-built winners towering over their rivals and teammates on the podium has dismayed fans of the sport.

'This is so egregious I can't imagine how people watched this happen and thought this was ok,' wrote one.
Look at the gold medalist how in anyones' world is THAT a woman ?

Transgender cyclists Jenna Lingwood, Jordan Lothrop and Eva Lin all achieved a podium finish in the elite women's Madison at Virginia 's Marymore Grand Prix on Friday
Californian Eva Lin, 28, used to race as Henry Lin for San Jose State University's men's team, but his placings have soared since he switched to its women's team in 2022

Transgender athletes win clean sweep at Washington women's cycle meet

I wonder what release documents she had to sign for the payoff, if any.
IBA is International Boxing Association. Their group is whom identified the two XY men and blocked them from fighting women in another contest. The IBA guy is who is gifting the 50K.

I'll bet the Olympics people threatened the Italian woman into making an apology.

Well, it probably was a precondition that all athletes respect the rules/regs/decisions of the Olympics and their officials.

For sure 100% It's F🤬 disgusting, did you see the picture of the man crying, because he was feeling bullied?
Truth be told he is after the Gold.

As for IBA, I guess that's their guilt money, They should have stepped up to the plate and removed him.
Makes you wonder how much influence they have.

One of the issues here is that we tend to read attacks on the individual involved, when in reality the blame lies elsewhere.

For example, in Cycling, the The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) are the governing body. It is a lack of leadership from such groups that is allowing the issue to fester. They need to step up, change the rules as necessary, and take the decision out of the hands of local groups, events, and individuals.

As for the boxer issue, that's really difficult. She's a woman, she was developed as a woman in ways most of us would agree with. Yet she has an abnormality in her genes. That abnormality gives her an advantage over other female competitors. But such advantages aren't unique. For example, there are top swimmers who are known to have an advantage based on strangeness in their bodies. People like Michael Phelps, who is double jointed in his arms, has unusually large hands and long arms, is accepted. This is all derived genetically.

Testosterone levels are measured, and both women and men has parameters around that. But when they're testing for levels, they're looking for dopers - people artificially elevating these levels to gain an advantage. That is not the case here.

Ultimately, I think the fact that she has lost 9 times previously, and isn't a prolific knock out artist, suggests we may be over-reacting. Weirdly, this person is a woman, but due to a genetic anomaly, both men and women are attacking her.

Khelif is an XY chromosome man and is therefore a man, not a woman.

The IBA's eligibility rules prevent athletes with XY chromosomes from competing in women's events.
This is why the IBA banned Khelif and other men from their women's competitions.

However, the IOC stupidly maintains that inclusion should be the default, and that men should only be excluded from
women's competitions if there are clear fairness or safety issues, which there obviously are in cases like these. However,
regardless of that, they have continued to defend their terrible decision to allow Khelif - and other XY men - to compete.

Anyone ever see Gabi Garcia before?

I have heard of her in MMA circles, God that woman got so much flac from Internet trolls because of her size.
She also failed a drug test in which she was taking a large amount of female hormones to trigger testosterone levels.
Last I heard she retired after losing to Amanda Leve.

Which female hormones trigger higher testosterone levels?
