Notes from Pappy's diary

Home for the aging meeting went well yesterday. We will be getting medic alert buttons in case of emergencies. Cost for us is $3.50 a month. Well worth it for peace of mind.
We are eligible for free hot meals too. Not quite sure how many meals are included until we meet with a person that will visit us soon. May be able to get help with our heating bills also.

Well it’s time to roll mama out of bed and fix us some breakfast. Have a great day folks.

1:40 pm and just waiting for the blizzard to start. High winds and 7 to 18 inches of snow forecast for our area. Worst winter here in years. Of course it is because we moved back to NY this year. Just glad I’m not driving my bread truck any more. 🚚

That is what happened to me when I moved back to FL in 1994. Except they had been having a drought. You could not wash your car and only water your lawn on certain days of the week. As soon as we moved there it started raining. Rained almost every day and had lots of thunderstorms. I couldn't believe it. It tapered off to raining every afternoon on a sunny day and then it would stop suddenly and be sunny again.

Yes, those afternoon showers were quite common where we were. Monsoons for a few minutes and and later you’d never know it rained.
