Now I Left a Case of Bubbly Soda in the Shopping Cart.

How did I do that? I was at WINCO Foods. I took the shopping cart to the cart holding spot. The case was in the top of the cart and I left it there. I don't know how I didn't see it. I had to have left it. It's not in the car or here. What an idiot I feel like.

No, you are not an idiot. Otherwise I am an idiot also because I have done the same in the past ;)
Me too. And one time, my huzz left his wallet (with all his cards and $200 in cash in it) on the counter in a convenience store. He didn't realize it till a couple of hours later, went back, and the same clerk was working but said she hadn't seen it.

He's always thought she was lying because the reason he laid his wallet down on the counter in the 1st place is he had already paid for his coffee but she asked him, "Don't you want a lid for that cup of coffee?" He said "You're right!", laid his wallet down, walked back got a lid, and forgetting about his wallet, walked out & got in the car. He said she watched him lay the wallet down, he saw her look at it, but later said she didn't know what he was talking about. And that store was not a busy, heavily-trafficked one either.

That's horrible. I'm sorry to say, I'd suspect the clerk also. I could never do that to someone. I wonder how people who do that live with themselves?

Not worth the drive over. Maybe the cart collector employee took the box.
Call them anyway so they will have it on record. I called and spoke to the manager after a similar incident,
who said to bring the receipt and he'd give me a refund. I told him I wouldn't be there for at least a month
or two, just so he knew and would remember. A couple of months later I went back and he gave me the refund.

I've done it. I've left my keys more times than I can count on the checkout.. or a counter somewhere...

A couple of years ago people here might remember I left my bag with everything in it in Aldi..

It had iphone, credit cards, money, the whole 9 in it... I'd got home before I realised I didn't have my bag, it was rush hour, and I spun my car around and drove like a mad person back to town , then got stuck in a rush hour jam.. and I had to be on the opposite side of the dual carriageway .. so I just drove right over the central reservation..

I dashed into Aldi, and looked at the Trolley Corral which was right at the bottom of the car park, where hardly anybody goes, and where I knew I'd left my bag on the trolley.. alas it was gone..

I ran into Aldi, with my heart in my shoes, visualising someone already had maxxed out my CC cards.. and asked if anyone had handed the bag in.. and the assistant said ''yes''... it's in the office.. and the man who handed it in is still here in the store, and she pointed him out in the checkout queue...

I tell you I couldn't thank that man enough... !

I really didn't think I'd see the bag, my phone, cards, money , specs.. .. again..

I'd never done that before .. and at the time it was just after I discovered soon2bex's affair.. so it had to be stress !!

I once left my wallet on the counter at a QuikTrip. Went back later and the guy handed it to me intact with a rubber band around it.

Last week I misplaced my black cane. While at the market and waiting for a friend to check out I asked if they happened to have a black cane back there. She brought out six canes, 4 of them black. None were mine which was home behind my desk.

Remy, when you were paying for your groceries, did you lift the soda onto the conveyor. You may have missed putting it into your cart when you left the checkout.

I noticed today that a 12 pack of no name soda pop is almost $8, plus tax. Yikes.

About ten years ago when I drank beer, I did the shopping at the local HEB (supermarket) and bought a 12 pack of Heinekens, which is not cheap beer. Anyway, I put it on the bottom rack of the cart after it was checked.

I got out to the truck, unloaded all the stuff, and put the cart in the stall. Then I happily drove home.

After everything was unloaded, I felt something nagging at me - and then I remembered I bought beer. But of course, it wasn't in the fridge, or the truck. And going back to the HEB was useless, for surely someone already found the case and took off with it.

I went through self check out and I'm sure I did the "skip bagging" button because I didn't put it next to the check out which weighs the items. I'm good at taking a quick look around before I leave the check out to be sure I didn't leave anything I didn't bag. But apparently I'm not good at checking the cart when I return it.

I also left the 3 plastic bags I took from the bulk area that were just laying on top of bins and they would just be thrown out. I can use those for garbage bags. The Bubbly was 3 dollars something for an 8 pack plus I think 40 cents for the recycle fee.

I once left a 12 pack of beer in a shopping cart, the bagger had put it in the rack below at the bottom, I didn't see it... šŸ˜‘
I think that's easier than what I did, because the Bubbly was in the top kid seat area. Beer costs more and I'm sure someone took it.

@hollydolly I think I remember that. That would be super stressful. And it's one thing I haven't done. Yet.

I drove over to PAWS thrift store once and went to grab my purse. It wasn't there. I panicked. I went straight back to the apartment and I had left it because I had other things in my hand and forgot my purse.
